Musicians and fans agree – Willie Nelson is an iconic figure in American music history. Roger Hegyi as “True Willie” pays tribute to the life and music of one of the world’s most recognizable and distinctive musicians. Not just a Willie Nelson “impersonator,” Roger has found a way to reach into the musical soul of Willie Nelson and share it with audiences wherever he performs.

“Roger looks and sounds so much like The Man that fans and friends are convinced that he and Willie were twins separated at birth!”

“Watching and listening to Roger performing the music of Willie Nelson gives me chills!”

Chosen as the most authentic and convincing tribute act to Willie Nelson in America, the True Willie Tribute Band is fast becoming the first choice with audiences across America.

Roger Hegyi began singing in his church at the age of 10 years old before being recognized as “one voice in a million” by professionals in the music industry. Roger has since amassed over 40 years of experience as a singer and guitarist, including several engagements in Southern California at the Anaheim Angels Stadium and the San Diego Padres Stadium, in theater groups and through thousands of performances in small clubs. The True Willie Tribute Band made up of Johnny Higgins (keyboards), David Terry (Drums) Cliff Saunders (Bass Guitar) and Mike Fleetwood (Guitar), represents Roger’s lifelong dream to honor the music of Willie Nelson and the influence Willie has had not only on Country and Western music, but also on American music history.

Debra Hammons Bailey Rider VOCALSDebra was born in St. Augustine, FL. A “child of the sixties,” she honed her vocal abilities with the rhythm and blues and Motown music on AM radio, combined with influences from her native Kentucky bluegrass and gospel roots. She started singing in church and then at Fletcher High School in Neptune Beach, FL. In the 80s and 90s, she sang in pop-rock bands. From

1988 to 1992, Debra toured and sang backup vocals with the hall of fame southern rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd. She has sung on many studio and jingle sessions for bands, TV and radio, and has been the voice of several robotics characters for Sally Industries. Debra sang Janis Joplin’s tunes for Sam Andrew of Big Brother and the Holding Company, opened for Boots Randolph and Marcia Ball, sang with University of North Florida’s Jazz Ensembles I & II, and also was featured with the Chris Riddle Big Band (son of Nelson Riddle).

She won a merit award for songwriting from Unisong International, placed in the Savannah Music Festival’s American Traditions Competition twice, and performed several times at the Springing the Blues Festival, Jacksonville Beach, the New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festival, and the Amelia Island Jazz Festival. Debra is honored to be part of Jacksonville Symphony sponsored non-profit, “Body & Soul,” a healing through music program; performing in area hospitals, retirement and rehab centers, as well as churches and schools. She received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Florida’s prestigious jazz studies program in 2010. In 2010 she released her second CD of original songs, “Soul Food 7.”

Debra is currently promoting her original songs and performing her style of “jazzy-blues” with several area musicians as well as showcasing her music via Reverbnation.com. She was invited to perform in New Orleans at the Cutting Edge Music Business Conference, September 2012. Debra showcased her original songs at Irvin Mayfield’s I Club, New Orleans, as she was chosen from 3500 submissions and only one of 30 singer-songwriters invited to perform. She is a song leader-soloist-choir member at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Jacksonville Beach. Debra is continuing to pursue a singer-songwriter career and is promoting her music. She performs with several area bands, including living legend guitarist, Calvin Newborn. From gospel, jazz and blues to rock and pop, Debra sings it all. Her late voice professor at University of North Florida, William Brown, classified her a “soul singer” and she continues to sing with soul from the heart.
