A Message from your Exalter Ruler… Greetings to all Members of the Westbrook Lodge #1784 Only three more weekends left to enjoy the bands on the beach with Elk’s family and friends. I want to personally thank all of the Volunteers and Sponsors, that helped make our 11th Beach Jam for Breast Cancer a big success. All the bands were amazing and our Master of Ceremonies, Jim Pino, keeps everyone engaged and having a great time! “We had a record YEAR!!” Despite the final score, we had a great day at Yankees Stadium and the Saratoga bus trip was a sellout. Thanks to Kevin DeLoreto, PER for organizing both events for our
Members and guests. Our second Lobster Fest was a big hit as always. Thanks to Dave Malazzi, Paul Champlin, the kitchen staff and volunteers for making this event so successful! The Syl Dente/Dick Carrol Golf Tournament on August 19th was well attended; the dinner & awards ceremony was held at our lodge. Thanks to the Tournament Committee and volunteers for a terrific outing! A reminder that our Family Fun Day and Soccer Shoot on August 31st starts at 10:00 am. The Pavilion Dedication/70th Anniversary Celebration is at 4:00 pm, followed by a buffet and entertainment. This event is open to Westbrook Members & their Guests. Seating is limited; please call the Lodge Office to RSVP. Upcoming Events: September 2nd: Annual Lodge Raffle drawing at 6:00 pm (You can’t win if you don’t play!) Sept 22nd our Grand Exalted Ruler, Robert Duitsman and his wife Beth, will be visiting our lodge. Seating is
limited; please call the Lodge Office to reserve. September 28th: Oktoberfest from 6:00-11:00 pm featuring the Professor’s German band at 6:00 pm and We3
from 7:00-11:00 pm. See ad for ticket info. October 9th: Trivia Night in the Member’s Lounge from 6:30 to 8:00 pm Please remember: No alcohol is allowed on the beach, it’s the law. To help us avoid costly repairs, please refrain from putting umbrella posts and tent stakes in the ground as we have an irrigation system for our lawn. Thank you. As always, please consider joining one of our Volunteer teams! Volunteers are always needed and welcome, so please don’t hesitate to get involved! Our organization runs on Volunteers and it’s greatly appreciated. May God Bless You and Our Lodge! Fraternally, Ray Smith Exalted Ruler Ray
