Message from Andy Pajak, Maintenance Committee Chair…Mailbox update - Our supplier of mailbox posts and boxes does not have a sufficient number of white mailboxes of the model we ordered in their inventory to complete the replacement project in early September as originally planned. Installation of the new units now is scheduled for early November. Very targeted driveway and road crack sealing is being planned while temperatures are suitable for this work. We are awaiting bid from contractor.

This and That… For those of you who find

walking on sand difficult and would love to

use our wonderful town beaches, I wanted

to let you know that I used one of the two

new beach wheelchairs donated by the

Niantic Rotary, Lions Club and United

Cerebral Palsy. The East Lyme Public Trust

provided the sand mats. Dave Putnam,

Director of Parks & Rec for East Lyme, who

is also a member of Rotary, oversees the

operation. The lifeguards did all the work

getting me over the sand and in and out of

the water.
