As the fall season rolls around, local Baptist associations traditionally initiate preparations for THE ANNUAL ASSOCIATIONAL MEETING. This long-held institutional practice seems to have lost its excitement in
recent years, and many fail to see its value in the fast-paced society of the 21st Century. This year in both Morehouse and Northeast associations we are attempting to regain momentum by focusing our associational meetings on celebrating our fellow churches. The focus will be how each church engages its community by faithfully presenting the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ! Please encourage your church to mark the dates on your calendar, elect a full complement of messengers and plan to attend and participate. Our meetings strive to present a more simplified and efficient format while providing the opportunity to see and experience the vast array of available ministry opportunities carried out within our associations. The schedules are:
Morehouse Association October 2, 2017 Twin Oaks, Bastrop
6:00 P.M. Ministry Fair 7:00 P.M. Business Session 7:15 P.M. Worship Service. Speaker: Luther Sanson
Northeast Association
September 25, 2017 Cedar Crest, West Monroe
10:30 A.M. Business Session during Executive Board Meeting. Elect messengers to attend this meeting.
October 16, 2017 Ridge Avenue, West Monroe 6:00 P.M. Celebration of Churches 7:00 P.M. Worship Service. Speaker: Gary Frost. Only business is to adopt Book of Reports.
I hope you will make the annual meeting a priority and come expecting a genuine blessing!
With love and sympathy
Love and sympathy are extended to Jane Williams and family in the death of Rev. Earl Williams. The Williams family served several churches before becoming missionaries. They served as missionaries to Liberia for over 30 years through the International Mission Board.
