From the BBA Prayer Ministry Team Leader This month I want to share some thoughts on prayer from Jesus’ perspective. Matthew 18:19-20 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Then again, Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall re- ceive. Then we have these words from the book of John. John 14:13-14 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. And John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. And John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. I believe you would agree with me; in these verses Jesus has set before us the marvelous possibili- ties of prayer. Limited, yet unlimited. May we as an association claim the unlimited power of prayer by joining together in a prayer force that will bring the power of Christ down on this association. That will lead to a mighty revival and spiritual awakening in our presence. One of the keys to powerful prayer is abiding in Jesus and allowing His words to abide in us. Don’t drift my friends, stay focused and faithful and see what He has in store for this association and your life. In His Grip, Bro. From: Calvary Cares Food Ministry

Calvary Baptist Church

Dear Bryan Baptist Association members

We started a food ministry about two years ago when Loaves and Fishes closed. We wanted some food available for the Pastor to give to the occasional family who came by for help. It has evolved into much more than that. Very soon there were several families coming and we decided to have a certain day for distributing the food with volunteers working to assist the needy who came. For the last few months the demand has become much greater. The month of July we helped about 70 families. We have families who come from all parts of the county, not just Durant. Our goal is to show God’s love to people by trying to help with their physical needs. We invite you to join us in this effort by donating non-perishable items or a love offering. For more information contact Juanita Hamilton at [email protected] or 580-931-0299.

September 7th Streetman Rd BC will be conducting a Dedication Ceremony for its new 3,200 square foot education wing. Special speakers and uplifting music will be a part of the day’s events. Everyone is invited to come join the celebration. Lunch will be catered from 11:45 - 1:00 and the Dedication Ceremony will be from 1:00 3:00.

Hello Ladies!

Just wanted to give you an update on what’s going

on in our state. I have been excited to see the

growth in our Women’s Ministries across our

association. Many of you have been involved in

ministry projects in your communities and I would

love to have some pictures for our display board at

the Associational Annual meeting. During the month

of September we will be collecting the Edna McMilan

State Missions Offering and in the first weekend of

October there will be a Ministry Wives Retreat at

Henderson Hills in Edmond. If you are interested in

this please contact me. I will be scheduling a

Saturday Morning Women’s Ministry Leader’s

Brunch at my house again this fall so be looking for

that invitation. If I do not have your contact

information please get it to me, otherwise the

invitation will go to the church.

Remember if I can help you in any way with your

Women’s Ministry don’t hesitate to call

405-444-0274.

For His glory, Robin Bowen

Our Summer Mission Program has finished for this year. As everyone is getting ready for the new school year I would ask that Youth Pastors think about using LTBRM for your Mission Project for Fall and Spring Breaks

We have had an overall good year but would love to see our Campground used even more. It is a real privilege to get to work with the youth that come. They are dedicated

and wonderfully mission minded.

May God Bless Each of You. Barbara Decker

Our Southeastern BCM community of college students has just closed the chapter on summer and are ready to walk through a new door of reaching college students during the school semester. Our four teams that you have been praying for have returned to the states and are excited to report the faithfulness of God these last few months. In all four partner regions it was reported by our teams that people accepted Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives. Many discipleship relationships were formed and the international church was strengthened as a result of our students conduct overseas. Thousands of students, adults, and children’s lives were changed as a result of our four team’s faithfulness to go in obedience to the great commission of Christ. Please be in prayer for those who began a relationship with Jesus this summer and for those whose faith was strengthen both stateside and abroad. We are now transitioning and preparing to be missionaries here at home on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University. We will begin this semester by preaching the gospel through many RUSH week events for new students to come and be a part of. Please be in prayer for our staff and leadership as we engage these new students with the Good News. We will conclude our event filled RUSH week with a new student retreat in Broken Bow. We are very excited to make disciples and share the gospel this year through BCM activities.
