SEP DRAINAGE SURVEYS LTD
ABOUT SEP DRAINAGE
4
For 30 years, SEP has been supplying Engineering and Surveying Services to clients across the UK and Overseas. During this time we have grown steadily to become one of the largest independent surveying companies in the field. We have recently decided to create SEP DRAINAGE SURVEY Ltd to accommodate the needs of our customers with drainage requirements whilst enabling us to develop other working relationships.
SEP Drainage Surveys Ltd is a specialist drainage surveying company that is set up to meet the various and sometimes diverse desires of high end drainage surveys. Offering bespoke surveys that are both practical and user friendly to a wide range of clients such as consulting engineers, design consultants, FM companies, construction companies and highways agencies. We tailor our surveys to meet the demands and specification of each individual project and understand how to achieve the most efficient survey to maximise the level of data captured. Following years of experience we understand that not every drainage survey is carried out to capture the same information. Generic surveys are often carried out which means that sometimes the vital data that the end user requires is missing. We realisethat each project is specific, and the information and classification of the survey needs to change in order to meet the customer’s want's and overall plan.
As well as detailed drainage surveys. SEP Drainage Surveys Ltd also offer the complete solution to any ofyour drainage necessities, with the availability to clean, unblock and remediate. We are a one stop shop for any drainage problem that might occur.

CCTV INVESTIGATION
SEP Drainage Surveys Ltd have invested in brand newsurveying units. The CCTV units carry the latestibos system which can be tailored to meet the intendeddrainage diameter. The brand new CCTV units can survey from 100mm up to 1400mm in diameter, incorporating the latest Wincan reporting system. The ibos crawler units have the highest specification lens within the drainage industry, resulting in HD quality images with a capability to zoom in at 10 times the standard viewpoint. The viewing functions of the unit takes away the responsibility of the engineer and puts it in the hands of the technology. Meaning each survey runs smoother and results in a more comprehensive report. With the ability to increase wheel size, lighting options andstability. Each survey, no matter what the size of the line will becentralised which in turn maximises the quality of the information collated, which is then implemented into the CCTV survey report. Following each survey SEP DrainageSurveys Ltd will supply you with a full written report within theWincan format and a DVD showing all the HD footage takenrelating to a fully marked up site drawing.

Whilst carrying out most surveys it is imperative that welocate and highlight the exact positions and depths of thevarious lines. SEP Drainage Surveys use the highest specification sewer Sonde which enables us to trace thelocation and depth of lines up to 13 meters deep. The sondefits to the back of the crawler unit and is traced above ground. By marking out the exact positions and recording the data using our in-house GPS and CAD teams, you areguaranteed to get the accuracy that you require.
Along with the new camera units, we have also backed thisup by teaming them up with advanced Jetvac units that havethe capability to jet at 2200PSI and with a suction capacity of1200 CFM, powerful enough to remove liquid from morethan 50 metres away.
Due to most of the surveys we conduct being prior to the design stage,
we are aware that the level of information that needs to be captured
is far more in-depth than that of a standard survey. In order for us to
capture this information we provide manhole cards for each survey
carried out which allows the end user to understand the exact
parameters that they have to work with.
The new state of the art CCTV units carry four different cameras which enable us to survey lines from 100mm to 1400mm, all
in HD. All of our engineers are trained to a minimum standard OX19 (with many having OX21X standard) which allows us to
survey any brick or concrete line to the highest degree. With 200m of cable length on each unit we are able to survey 400m from
one point, increasing the productivity and output per shift. All the HD footage is uploaded onto the Wincan software which enables
us to produce simple yet effective reports which include defect severity within a traffic light system so the report can be understood
by first time viewers, but also captures in depth data that can be used by professionals.

VACUUM & JETVAC SERVICES
SUCTION CAPABILITIES
JETTING CAPABILITIES
Thanks to years of experience in performing technical operations on drainage systems, we understand the importance of good quality equipment when it comes to providing a thorough service. Due to these reasons SEP Drainage Services have procured state-of-the-art Jetvac systems. The units have a capacity to jet at 2200 PSI with a suction capacity of 1200CFM, powerful enough to remove liquid from more than 50 meters away. All SEP Drainage Surveys Ltd jetting engineers are trained to the highest standard, and incorporating this with our membership with Water Jetting Association and National Sewerage Association means that we maximise the capability of the machines. Resulting in less timeon site.
At SEP Drainage Surveys Ltd, our vacuum and Jetvac units include ‘Vactor’ Tankers which feature an unrivalled ability to cleanse pipes, sewers, manholes chambers and culverts from 400mm to 4000mm above diameters. With an 80 GPM flow at 2200 PSI, the jetting facility complements the suction to ensure that we are able to manage even the most daunting cleansing projects.
The units are ideal for such tasks as gully cleansing, interceptor emptying, liquid removal and the cleansing of fat traps. All of which can be covered under one of SEP Drainage Surveys Ltd planned maintenance schemes.

SEWER & PIPE REMEDIATION
BEFORE
AFTER
PATCH REPAIR
FULL LENGTH REPAIR
A major part of our services is pipe maintenance and repair, either to fix existing problems, or to prevent them fromdeveloping in the first place. Our ‘no dig’ technology allows us to simply fix pipes and sewers from the inside in mostcases, which means minimum disruption and maximum efficiency.
Patch repairs are carried out on individual defects thathave been highlighted within the pipes. They aredesigned to provide a permanent and cost efficient fixwith no need to carry out an excavation. With the remediation process for patching taking between 2-4 hours it is ideal for minimising disruption to the local environment as well as being more costeffective than a traditional excavation.
SEP Drainage Surveys Ltd can provide full length repairs which are thebest option when it comes to pipes which are structurally unsound throughout or contain multiple fractures. The liners are installed from above ground and cured through either air, water or ultraviolet light.
Each full length repair is specifically designed and made for each individual line. SEP Drainage Surveys Ltd are able to repair and remediate lines from100mm diameter to 2000mm diameter. Once the repairs have been implemented we are able to reopen any connections and laterals with the use of a state-of-the-art hydraulically driven cutting unit. Meaning that there is no disruption to the drainage running into the remediated sewer.
MANHOLE SURVEYING
SEP Drainage Surveys Ltd understand that capturing the current data from sites is always crucial to the project. With each survey that we carry out we are able to offer manhole cards as standard, listing pipe inlet locations, cover details, construction make up, condition information, location sketches, photographs and plans.
11
We are also able to offer if required indepth 3D modelling of any manhole chambers, interceptors, tanks, wet wells with the use of our Laser scanner. The scanner can be inverted to a depth of upto 10 metres eradicating theneed for manhole entry and all the Health & Safety issues that are connected. We are also able to capture a thousand times more data in ashorter amount of time. This is because a laser scanner records approximately one million measuring points per second and produces a precise, three dimensional image of its surroundings. With suitable plugins, this image can be directly imported into a wide range of software applications.
