Best Buy Drug Store, an Albuquerque-based retail pharmacy store owned by Dale McCleskey, strives to fulfill the pharmaceutical needs of its clientele. Having been in the retail pharmacy business for many years, Dale McCleskey is no stranger to theft, robbery and vandalism.
Solution
While attending the McKesson Pharmacy Strategies Conference and Trade Show 2004 in San Diego, Dale stopped by Sentry Security Systems booth to see their Digital Video Security Systems. After
explaining the layout of his store and his areas of concern, a Sentry Representative recommended a twelve camera Sentry LE video security package with an additional four camera expansion card allowing for more cameras to be installed should they be needed.
Upon returning home to Albuquerque after the show, Dale ordered the system that was recommended and installed it himself without any problems.
The Sentry LE Series System has performed flawlessly and has provided valuable video security evidence on several occasions. It was able to provide detailed video evidence of a break-in that
occurred during the night as well as catching a narcotics user who, while a clerk was verifying payment information, emptied a bottle of pills into her purse.
In a more serious incident when Dale’s store and fourteen other neighboring stores were robbed at gun point, the Sentry LE Series captured video evidence of the armed robber from a camera
mounted behind the cash register. Because of the high quality video produced by the Sentry LE Series DVR, exported video from the Sentry DVR was able to be shown on the local evening TV News resulting
in the armed robber being identified and caught soon after. The armed robber likely would have never been caught had it not been for Dale’s Sentry LE Series Digital Video Security System.
