Klinefelter and as to Geraldine Klinefelter on December 18, 2014. 2) That a critical witness for Vernon Klinefelter, Dr. Jonathan Hess, is o ut of state from December 15, 2014 until January 20, 2015. 3) That with the multiple delays in the sentencing hearing necessitated by an o ngoing trial which has lasted approximately 2 months, Dr. Hess is no w unable to be p resent to testify. 4) That, in addition, counsel for Vernon Klinefelter has a personal and family commitment from December 17 through December 21 which is impossible to change. 5) That counsel for the Government, Mr. Hansen, has been advised of this conflict and has indicated that the Government would not object to this continuance and would cooperate with the rescheduling. 6) That Peter Wise, counsel for co-defendant Geraldine Klinefelter has be en advised of this request and has indicated no objection to same. 7) That this is the first extension or continuance of an y kind for any purpose sou ght by Vernon Klinefelter since the trial of this cause in April 2014. 8) That this continuance is sought for the purpo ses recited herein and not for th e purposes of  prejudice or delay. Wherefore, Vernon R.     NOW COMES THE DEFENDANT, VERNON R. KLINEFELTER, BY HIS ATTORNEY,

    THOMAS O. FINKS, AND FOR HIS MOTION TO CONTINUE THE SENTENCING

    1) That this cause is set for sentencing as to Vernon R. Klinefelter and as to Geraldine

    Klinefelter on December 18, 2014.

    2) That a critical witness for Vernon Klinefelter, Dr. Jonathan Hess, is out of state from

    December 15, 2014 until January 20, 2015.

    3) That with the multiple delays in the sentencing hearing necessitated by an ongoing trial

    which has lasted approximately 2 months, Dr. Hess is now unable to be present to testify.

    4) That, in addition, counsel for Vernon Klinefelter has a personal and family commitment

    from December 17 through December 21 which is impossible to change.

    5) That counsel for the Government, Mr. Hansen, has been advised of this conflict and has

    indicated that the Government would not object to this continuance and would cooperate
