Oral Boards Days

• Saturday, May 3– From 8:30 am to 12:00 pm

• Student photographers and videographers will be recording events. They will not interrupt, but would be in the room during the presentation; let us know what is comfortable for you.

We will try to have the firewall lowered, but you should have a back-up plan if you need the internet: the school doesn’t have total control of keeping it available.

• Is anyone else participating as part of your presentation? (For most of you, NO) If that someone is a senior at Clark, please type his/her name so that both of you can be scheduled accordingly.

• At the end, be sure to click “Done” to register. If you click on “Cancel” nothing will be saved/entered and you will have to start over.

• Be sure you have registered by midnight on March 31.

Preparing for Oral Boards Day

• Dress professionally• Allow plenty of time to arrive• Don’t bring an audience: it’s time to be a

professional - not a child, friend, or sibling• Wait quietly until called in• Present• Leave quietly

Be professional and flexible. If the room arrangement is not what you need, simply say “Excuse me just a moment while I rearrange these desks for the presentation.” Then rearrange them and move on.

That will make you look much better than complaining, “This is so not what I requested.”

If you do run into a technological problem during your presentation, there will be tech support available. Call the office – 1258 – and politely request tech support.

• “I need tech support with a mac/pc in room #______, please.”

• We will send someone right away. Thank the students who help you. It will make you look good.
