OPERATION: The remote programmer has 4 keys:
“Enter” or validate
“Cancel”
“Scroll UP”
“Scroll Down”The ‘Down’ Key is also used to turn “ON” the remote programmer. After not being used for 2 minutes, the programmer automatically turns itself off.

When using the programmer, the sensor will begin blinking for approximately 5 seconds after the “enter” key is pressed and the display shows “TRANSMISSION OK”. While it is blinking move your finger to within 1 inch of the sensor (nearly covering it). When the light stops blinking and stays on steady, remove your finger and, with the palm of your hand facing the sensor, move your hand to the distance to be set. When the sensor starts to blink again, move you hand away from the detection area. The flashing will stop and the sensor will now be programmed with the new range setting.
The Programmer will now display BACKUP FUNCTION. You can program the next sensor(s) with the same modes and functions by pointing the programmer at the sensor and pressing the “enter” key. The programmer will remember the programmed settings (other than the manually set range/distance) for approximately 3.5 minutes before turning off.
NOTE: See “Product Settings & Specifications Chart”

TIP: Cleaning – Use this mode to disable the sensor for 1 minute. This is sometimes used by the cleaning crew to keep the faucet “off” while cleaning the fitting and or fixture.
TIP: Disinfection – This is typically used in healthcare facilities that conduct periodic high temperature or high anti-bacterial chemical purging of the water lines. The maintenance person should activate this mode and stay present to avoid any users from exposure to the purged water. This ‘mode’ can be activated while in any function (handwash faucet, urinal flush valve, etc..). The duration (run time) can be programmed from 1 minute to 120 minutes in 1 minute intervals.
TIP: Diagnostics – Use this mode to determine the settings of the faucet or flush valve. NOTE: this feature will only work with products made 2008 or newer.

NOTE: This is the standard ‘instant on / instant off’ faucet mode.
TIP: The 'COMF. Timeout' (Comfort Timeout) is how long the water will run after the users' hands are removed from the detection zone. This prevents the water from quickly turning On & Off as the users' hands move in & out of the detection zone. Recommended setting: 1.5 sec (adjustable from 0 to 10 sec in 0.5 sec increments).
TIP: The 'Auto. RINSE' (Auto Purge) allows the faucet to automatically turn ON after a set period time of non use, to prevent the water from becoming stagnant or to maintain the trap seal. This time period can be set to activate from OFF to 72 hrs (of non-use) in 1 hr. increments. Then set the duration of run time from 1 sec. to 240 sec. Default Setting: ‘OFF’
TIP: The 'SAFETY Timeout' is sometimes referred to as the ‘vandal timer’. This feature automatically turns the faucet off after a set period of time to prevent a person from intentionally blocking the eye (with chewing gum, tape, etc.) to keep the faucet running and have the sink overflow. Default Setting: 55 sec(adjustable from 5 to 120 sec in 5 sec increments)
Setting the sensor to the Hand-Wash faucet mode: • Set the 'COMF. Timeout'• Set the 'SAFETY Timeout'• Set 'Auto-RINSE' frequency (if the frequency is set to 0,

Recommended 'Duration is 2 sec. (when used)
TIP: The 'RINSE START INT' (rinse start interval) is how long after the user leaves the detection zone before the valve flushes. Default setting is 3 sec.
TIP: The 'SHORT RINSING' is the flush time (flush duration) used when the user stays in the detection zone for less than 60 sec. This should be the setting for the lowest of the 2 flush volumes listed for this model flush valve. See Flush Valve Settings Chart on page 20

PERIODIC HEAVY FLUSH FEATUREPeriodic Heavy Flush - A slug of water (higher than the standard flush volume) is sent through the drain line after a pre-programmed number of flushes, or specified time period of non-use, to help prevent drain line clogging. The volume and frequency of the slug of water are easily programmable. Flush valves with the Periodic Heavy Flush Feature can be located upstream of ultra-high efficiency fixtures or in areas of potential drain line carry issues. See pages 22 & 23 for water conservation chart and application examples.
The PHF feature can be activated for the Urinal, Flushometer, and Dual Flush functions with the
Sensor 2013 Version.

TIP: The 'HEAVY FLUSH COUNT' feature allows the flush valve to automatically flush a heavy flush after a set number of flush activations, to maintain the drain line. The activation count can be set from OFF to 100 in increments of 10 activations. You can set the duration of flush time from 1 sec. to 240 sec. – never set for more than the fixture can drain before overflowing!
Default setting: 'OFF'
TIP: The 'Auto. RINSE' (HEAVY FLUSH) allows the flush valve to automatically flush after a set period time of not being used, to maintain the drain line. This time period can be set to activate from OFF to 72 hrs (of non-use) in 1 hr. increments. You can set the duration of the heavy flush time from 1 sec. to 240 sec. –never more than the fixture can drain before overflowing!
