THE CUSTOMER | Select Fluid PowerSelect Fluid Power is a metal finishing, hydraulic parts company. Fo-cusing on customer service and industry expertise, Select Power pro-vides hard chrome plating, hydraulic repair, machining, grinding and polishing services throughout the lower mainland. Owning custom machines like their 50’ chrome plating tank to many various machining tools, they offer their customers a myriad of solutions to their hydraulic needs. For each service Select Fluid Power offers, they own and operate a highly specialized precision machine to complete the work. These 35 specialty machines needed to be relocated.

Moving 35 machines from one 40,000 square foot shop in Vancouver to a new 40,000 square foot shop in Langley required significant planning and organization. Each machine, although industrial in application, needed to be moved delicately to avoid damage.

Now located in Langley BC, Select Fluid Power’s new facility is set up to service mining, construction, forestry, oil & gas, manufacturing and marine & port customers.

THE CHALLENGE | Relocate 35 MachineACL Crane & Industrial Movers were required to move the machines from Vancouver to Langley. When moving large specialized equipment, it is paramount to have the right planning and experience to avoid potentially damaging the machines in transport. This was the case for this facility relocation.

35 pieces of specialty equipment that weigh from 3,000 to 48,000 lbs and requires 40,000 square feet for adequate set up, is a daunting task. Safety for the public and crew as well as the machines needed to be considered.
