On December 3 the Seattle Symphony celebrated the season in style with the 19th
annual Holiday Musical Salute, raising a record $178,000 to support the Symphony’s
contribution to the Seattle Symphony Players’ Pension Plan. Attendees were treated
to a pre-concert performance by the Seattle Girls’ Choir while sipping hot cider and
browsing a wide array of pop-up shops. Guests also had the opportunity to purchase
hand-crafted ornaments designed and created by Team Chihuly artist Jason Christian.
The afternoon’s entertainment featured the Seattle Symphony under the direction of
Associate Conductor Stilian Kirov, highlighted by the Northwest Boychoir Apprentices
and cello soloist Audrey Chen.
The Symphony wishes to thank all those who attended this year’s event. Thanks also to
Holiday Musical Salute Co-Chairs Ashley O’Connor McCready and Rena O’Brien for their
leadership, and to all the committee members for helping to make this year’s event
such a huge success. Special thanks as well to Presenting Sponsor Delta Air Lines and
Event Sponsors Barrier Motors, Brown Bear Car Wash and Sheraton Seattle Hotel.
