My mom is big on gardening. Every Spring she plants her garden in the backyard and works it through the Fall.

She grows great veggies that become shared family meals and finishes off with pumpkins we carve into Jack-O-Lanterns come October.

1. This Mother’s Day buy her seeds to plant in her garden.– I found these vintage seed

packets (pictured right) on Etsy.com for $4.00.




2. Attached to each packet of seeds include a hand-written story or memory from your childhood.

– Something that makes you laugh, a fond memory, or a lesson she taught you.




3. Get creative with the delivery…– One idea is to attach the seeds & stories to wooden dowels

Not only will she love receiving a present with thought behind it, every time she works in the garden, she’ll be reminded of those stories and memories.
