Our client Mr. Milson needs a safe and reliable means of transportation from his house to his pond. Due to a medical condition he is no longer able to access his pond under his own power. The pond is located roughly 300 feet in the linear direction and has a 200 foot vertical drop in elevation. There are obstacles such as wetland and rough terrain standing in the way as well.

Problem Broken Down
Tram/Hillside Lift
• Pros: Safe, versatile, large ROI• Cons: Cost, track will affect landscape, track will
need to go through/over rough terrain and wetlands
BullwheelPros: Very durable to seasons, fast means of
transportation, only affects landscape in a couple locations.
Cons: Cost, not the most energy efficient option, not as safe as other available options.
Self Powered Vehicle on Track Pros: Safe, energy efficient,
Cons: Strenuous, track will affect landscape, track will need to go around/through/over rough terrain and wetlands.
Issues
As of now we have not physically seen the landscape at Mr. Milson’s property.
If we go with a track design, we need to brainstorm ways of going around some terrain and over wetlands.
How can we implement one of these ideas without altering Mr. Milson’s landscape?
