15

USABILITY ENHANCEMENTS FOR CALENDAR EVENTS

Enhanced business rules ensure team members cannot create duplicate events or events exceeding the resource’s scheduled work hours.

PROJECT RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

With Oracle Fusion Project Resource Management organizations can optimize the allocation and utilization of their most precious resource: their people. Innovative and intuitive tools let resource managers and project managers ensure that the best-fit resource is identified and placed on each and every project assignment, to the benefit of the organization, the project resource, and the end customer, whether it be for internal or external billable projects.

ANALYZE RESOURCE UTILIZATION USING ORACLE FUSION TRANSACTIONAL BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE

Resource managers can use Oracle Fusion Transactional Business Intelligence to analyze utilization facts such as projected, target, and actual resource utilization hours and percentages, using dimensions such as resource pool and primary project role.

ASSIGN RESOURCE DIRECTLY TO PROJECT

The resource manager can assign a resource to a project without creating a project resource request. This feature enables the resource manager to streamline the assignment process to quickly staff a resource on a project.

CAPTURE RESOURCE COST AND BILL RATES

The application captures resource cost and bill rates on the project resource request, and the resource manager views the rates during the search and evaluation of resources to fulfill the request. When a resource is assigned to a project, the assignment cost rate is from the cost rate on the project enterprise labor resource definition, and the assignment bill rate is the target bill rate that is specified on the project resource request. The resource manager adjusts cost and bill rates on the project resource assignment.

16

MONITOR PROJECT RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PROCESSES

Resource managers can easily monitor processes from the Project Resources work area to ensure that transactional data updates are completed successful. They can also troubleshoot any failed processes.

ANALYZE ACTUAL RESOURCE UTILIZATION AND COMPARE TO TARGET UTILIZATION
