As the size of Box’s enterprise deployments increased, the company needed a way to provide centralized

user management for customers with hundreds or thousands of users spread across teams and departments.

“We’ve seen increasing traction in the enterprise, with Fortune 500

companies adopting Box to solve their information and collaboration

challenges,” said Tomas Barreto, engineering manager at Box. “By partnering

with Ping Identity, we can now offer these customers a scalable, enterprise-

grade process for securely managing large deployments in conjunction

with other SaaS applications.”

Box knew that an Internet single sign-on (SSO) solution that could integrate

with its customers’ corporate directories would enable the centralized user

management they required. With this approach, IT administrators would be

able to give employees access to Box and other cloud-based applications

with only a few clicks when setting up corporate directories. Employees who

leave a company automatically lose access to Box when the IT administrator

turns off access to the corporate directory.

Box needed a fast, affordable way to bring Internet SSO to the Box solution

in any customer environment. The company also wanted a solution that

would fit its business model and budget without compromising the quality

of service its customers expect.

THE SOLUTIONBox chose PingFederate and Ping Identity’s SaaS Partner Program to deliver

is accessing online content, as well as the ability to add and disable users with

Customer set up is quick and easy with a typical SSO deployment complete in 30

minutes for existing Ping customers and just under two hours for first-time users.
