TheSpider II temporary power systemincorporates Watertight SafetyShroud Twist-Lock receptacles toprovide a UL Type 3R rating whenthe receptacles are used withWatertight Safety Shroud Twist-Lock plugs. Standard Twist-Lockand Safety Shroud Twist-Lock plugsmay be used with these receptaclesif water ingress during use is not aconcern. To ensure an overall 3Rrating when all receptacles are inuse, Hubbell has also designed anew weatherproof boot. Thisweatherproof boot for straight bladeplugs maintains a 3R rating when itis used with the new Spider IIstraight blade receptacles.

Environmental ProtectionAll Pin & Sleeve, Twist-Lock andstraight blade receptacles on eachSpider box are protected when not inuse by a gasketed, spring loaded fliplid. Hubbell has taken multiple steps toensure that the Spider II boxes canwithstand today’s harsh environmentalrequirements and as a result, theSpider II boxes have earned a 3Renclosure rating for outdoor rainproofapplications. In addition to the addedsafety and water resistant featuresdesigned into the Spider II temporarypower distribution system, Hubbellmakes the boxes user friendly byoffering a full line of replacement partsfor field repairability.
