Carmel-by-the-Sea: CPD units respondedto a store located at the Carmel Plaza regard-ing a report of the theft of a pair of sunglassesvalued at more than $400. An area check wasconducted for the suspect but was met withnegative results.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: CPD units respondedto the northeast corner of Dolores Street andSeventh Avenue regarding a report of a physi-cal altercation between a waiter and patron atthe business located there. Fire engine andambulance arrived on scene to treat the twomales. One had glass in his hand and the otherhad a bloody nose. Both refused treatment andsigned medical releases. Subsequent to aninvestigation, the patron was arrested for bat-tery on the waiter. The waiter later sought med-ical attention at CHOMP.

Pebble Beach: Female reported her housekey was discovered missing off of her key ring

Lincoln Street. The resident and representativeof the park were concerned about the amountof trash found and requested close patrols ofthe area.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Ambulance dis-patched to the Crossroads shopping center for amale with difficulty breathing. Patient trans-ported Code 2 to CHOMP.

Carmel Valley: Male reported he was notreceiving his mail while staying at the R.V. parkon Schulte Road.

Carmel Valley: Victim at Rancho SanCarlos called to report that her vehicle’s tirehad been vandalized.

Carmel Valley: Reporting party called toreport that her father’s tenant at HaciendaCarmel had been driving a vehicle while drink-ing an opened alcoholic container.

Carmel area: A student at Carmel HighSchool was found to be so intoxicated he couldnot care for himself. He was transported viaambulance to CHOMP, cited and released tohis parents.

Carmel area: Three subjects had an argu-ment over standing in a rental house onCabrillo Street. Deputies provided a civilstandby until peace could be maintained.

Carmel area: Victim reported graffiti inthe garage of the business complex. No sus-pects. Damage estimated at $300.

TUESDAY, APRIL 27

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Ring found onCasanova Street and turned in to the policedepartment.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: CPD units responded

to Mission Street and Seventh Avenue regard-ing a report of theft via a debit card. The fundswere accessed internationally and were reim-bursed by the victim’s banking institution.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A citizen reportedconcerns for cats seen in the neighborhoodon Santa Rita and wondered if they wereowned and cared for. An area check with theresidents on the street found all cats areowned, spayed or neutered, and cared for.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A welfare check wasconducted on an elderly female on EighthAvenue due to concerned neighbors. Upon con-tact, the resident stated she had a stomach ail-ment but was fine and refused medical treat-ment. About two hours later, police received aphone call from the resident’s ex-husband stat-ing his wife called him and stated she wasbleeding from the stomach and needed to go tothe hospital and requested he fly out to Carmel.Due to the new information, police conductedanother welfare check on the resident and hadmedical evaluate her. The paramedics relayedshe had a serious medical condition, but sheagain refused treatment and signed a medicalrelease waiver. Officer informed her policewould again check on her in the morning. Sheagreed. CRFA has medical release waiver onfile.
