NOTES FOR ALL STRING CLASSES Unless otherwise indicated, Own Choice selections (including number and choice of movements) should

be taken from the current (2013) Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Syllabus for your instrument

and grade.

ACCOMPANIMENTS – Solo pieces written with accompaniment must be performed with the

Concerto movements should not be performed unless they have been transcribed as concert

pieces. Contestants will be judged on performance and choice of program rather than difficulty.
