Selector Lever KnobRemoval

1. Remove the selector lever. For additional information, refer to Selector Lever in this section.

2. Disconnect the Transmission Control Switch (TCS) electrical connector.

3. Using a suitable tool, carefully pry the selector lever knob shroud down.

4. NOTE: LH shown, RH similar.

With the selector lever knob shroud down, remove the 2 selector lever knob screws.

5. Remove the selector lever knob and shroud from the selector shaft.

Installation1. Route the TCS wiring through the selector knob shroud and selector lever.

1 Position the TCS wire towards the back right corner of the selector knob shroud.

2 Route the TCS wire through the selector lever opening.

2. NOTE: Keep the TCS wire taught while installing the selector lever knob.

Install the selector lever knob.

3. NOTICE: Tightening the transmission selector lever knob screws over 2 Nm (18 lb-in) may damage the selector lever assembly.

Align the transmission selector lever knob base screw hole with the selector shaft and install the selector lever knob screws.

• Tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).

4. Slide the selector lever knob shroud up and snap into position.

5. NOTE: Make sure the TCS wire is pulled taught prior to connecting the TCS.

Connect the Transmission Control Switch (TCS) electrical connector.
