Resort is divided into two sections – Secrets St James and Secrets Wild Orchid.

Secrets Wild Orchid is closer to buffet and a la carte restaurants. Secrets St James has nicer beach and water.

Boardwalk runs length of resort and parallel to the beach.

All rooms are junior suites with whirlpool tub in bathroom.

All rooms have minibar, Secrets box, 24 hr room service.

Preferred Club

For an additional $700 approx clients can upgrade to Preferred Club. Benefits include a soaking tub on balcony, private pool and lounge area, separate check-in, etc.

The Preferred Club on the St James side is even further removed from the buffet and a la cartes.

Restaurants

Excellent breakfast and lunch time buffets, complete with champagne and orange juice at breakfast.

All a la cartes for supper. Unlimited access, no reservations required except for Teppanyaki table.

Restaurants

El Patio is the Mexican a la carte. There are two casual a la cartes

open for lunch – Seaside Grill and Oceana.

Barefoot Grille with hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, flavoured water, and meat patties.

Coffee shop – excellent.

Service

Service was very good throughout the resort. Staff were friendly and seemed happy.

Bar service at pool and beach. Could order room service right from pool chair.

Lovely spa Housekeeping times were erratic.

Other points to note

Vendors came on the resort 2 times/week to set up a market.

There was also an artisan with a booth and wood carvings set up daily.

There were big blue tubs of cold water and tins of Coke throughout the resort.
