*OPENING HYMN That Easter Day with Joy Was Bright #254 CALL TO CONFESSION PRAYER OF CONFESSION

God of everlasting life, we confess that we continue in the ways of death. You offer us your forgiveness, yet we refuse to forgive others. You show us signs of resurrection, yet still we fail to believe. Forgive us, God of grace. Fill us with your Holy Spirit and send us out in mission to proclaim your reconciling love; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

THE WORDS OF INSTITUTION THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

BLESSING OF THE ELEMENTS COMMUNION OF THE PEOPLE

Communion today is by intinction (dipping the bread into the cup). There will be four serving stations at the front of the sanctuary. After the choir is served, please come forward using the center aisle. The two outside cups, farthest from the center aisle, contain wine. The center two cups contain grape juice. All bread is gluten-free. Go to the serving station of your choice, and return to your pew by the side aisles. Those in the balcony or side pews are asked to make their way to the center aisle as well. If you are unable to come forward, remain seated and you may be served in the pew.

PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION

Here at this table we celebrate resurrection as you feed us with bread and wine. And as much as we might prefer to stay here in this protected place, you send us back to our work – only it is no longer the same work because we know you are with us and in us, shaping and transforming us to be your witnesses in the world. Nourished in body, mind, and spirit, may all that we say and do give you glory. Amen.

HYMN MADNESS CONTINUES … Round 3: Sweet 16 Now we're down to Round 3, the Sweet Sixteen! If your favorite hymn from the Glory to God hymnal is on this list, then congratulations! The 16 hymns remaining from the original list of 64 will be used as our music through the summer. Consider each of the eight head-to-head matchups and pick one hymn over the other. We'll use the results to tabulate eight winners (what the NCAA calls the Elite Eight). Then, next week, your votes will determine a Final Four and, then, a champion. Please return your completed Round 3 bracket to the church office by noon Tuesday, April 5th.

ADULT ED CLASS ON FATHER GREGORY BOYLE’S WORK WITH GANGS Our Sunday morning Adult Education Class continues reading and discussing the book: Tattoos on the Heart: The Power of Boundless Compassion by Gregory Boyle, Founder of Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles. Each week through April 17th, we read and discuss one chapter and a spiritual discipline to practice. Join us at 9:00 a.m. in the Hope Room for powerful conversation!!

MISSION: ENVELOPE Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to grab an envelope on the very large bulletin board by the first floor elevator to support Youth Mission and Triennium! Each envelope has a number… you choose the envelope(s) that correspond with the amount you would like to give. Each envelope shares information about our youth and their mission activities and trips. Keep the contents of your envelope, and return the envelope (with your donation enclosed) to the offering plate or the church office. Thank you for supporting our youth, and specifically our summer youth mission trip to Denver and Presbyterian Youth Triennium 2016!!

CONFIRMATION SUNDAY: APRIL 24 We currently have 19 youth in our Confirmation Class who have been learning more about God, the Bible, and the Church over the last few months. The youth, and their adult mentors, will meet with Session on April 11th and then will affirm their faith in worship on Sunday, April 24th. Please keep these youth and adults in your prayers, and join us as we welcome them to church membership and celebrate this milestone in their faith journey on April 24th!

WE ARE STILL WALKING TO JERUSALEM… As we seek to nurture our spiritual lives, we also seek to care for our physical bodies. So far, at least 28 people (adults and youth), plus our children in Faithful Bible Investigators program, have made it 3,950 miles! Our goal to make it to Jerusalem from Salina “as the crow flies” is 6,711 miles, so we have 2,761 miles to go. Thank you to all who have turned in miles. Brigid Hall will continue to collect our miles and track our progress. When will we make it to Jerusalem? Keep walking and running… and let us know what you’ve accomplished!

BE THE CHURCH! We hope you will take the April Youth Activities Calendar from the inside of your bulletin home with you so that you can attend a local event to watch, cheer on, and support our youth in the community! Being the church may be as easy as watching a game of basketball, attending a high school musical, or listening to a junior high band performance! We have many talented youth, and it is a delight to see them sharing their talents in so many ways!
