PRIESTS’ CONVOCATION: The priests of our diocese will gather together beginning Monday, January 16 to Thursday, January 19 for their convocation. For the most part, this will be an opportunity for the priests to see the final product or results of the various studies that the different strategic planning commissions have undertaken this past year. This will also be a great occasion for the priests to gather and celebrate the 40th anniversary of the diocese. Because of the very important nature of the convocation and the Bishop’s desire that all of our priests in active ministry be able to attend, the following schedule is being implemented here in our parish and I ask that you please take note of this: Daily Masses will be suspended from Tuesday, January 17 to Thursday, Janu-ary 19. The only daily Masses to be offered on these days will be at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux and at St. Francis Cathedral in Houma. Masses will resume on Friday, January 20. As for funeral masses, please call the office at 446-5571 for arrangement. The church will be closed from Monday, January 16 to Wednesday, January 18 due to improvements to be done with our sound system. Thus, no communion services will be offered in our church. Adoration will continue as scheduled on Thursday, January 19. Lastly, I ask for your prayers as we all gather for our convocation. I AM ATTACHING THE PRAYER THAT THE DIOCESE HAS PROVIDED FOR YOUR USE WHICH WILL CAN FOUND ON THE NEXT PAGE. Thank you for your understanding and support.

These students then move on to the District level and then possibly the State level. State level winners receive a $4000.00 cash award.
