Hubble foundation’s

ST

 Annual

Charity golf tourney

I am not even sure how to say thank you enough

JUST WOW

Our first annual tournament was a complete success!

Because of the generous donations, participation, and support of our sponsors andplayers, the Hubble Foundation, had a net fundraising total (minus expenses) of

$8409.25

We were worried with it being the first one and all, but I prayed that God would showup and show out! And He did--- HE DID IT –  AND HE DID IT THROUGH EVERY

SINGLE ONE OF OUR SPONSORS, PLAYERS, AND SUPPORTERS!

We were told more than once that first year tournaments are lucky to make a minimalamount or even just break even! I am just so humbled by all of your support and I am

so glad everyone had a great time!

The quote from Edmund Burke is one with which we are all familiar.Sadly, not many people heed the warning.

In that vein, I have been writing a series of articles for AboveGround Level (AGL) called THE OSHA FILES.

These articles are intended to be a learning tool. I want to start agrassroots change among the technicians to enhance safety. Myhope is that you or your crew will take one of these articles, reviewit, and use it as a tool to look at what happened, what should AND

SHOULDN’T have happened. My hope is that you and your crewscan use this as a way to help you and your crews identify what couldhave been done differently to help save a life.

Here are links to two of the articles. I will establish at least one pernewsletter, and as always you can find these on the “Publications”page at www.hubblefoundation.org

 Special Thanks…

We at Hubble Foundation would like to give SPECIAL THANKS to

VERIZON for working with us and a Kentucky Technician, Seth Ankeny to

get the memorial sign up in Cynthiana, KY for Joel Metz

Joel lost his life in 2014 when the mounting frame with attached antennas

that was being hoisted into place when rigging failed

. Joel’s injuries were

extremely severe resulting in severing parts of his body.

Being able to encourage climbers to remain vigilant on site is important,

and we applaud Verizon for sharing that sentiment

Thanks to Seth for getting to the site to hang the sign for us, and thank you

to Ruth at All Island Signs and Lighting for donating the sign
