1 INT. JESSIE BEDROOM – DAY 1 2100

Alone in room, party music is playing within the background. JESSIE

is sat in front of her bedroom applying makeupcamera looking from

over her shoulder. Bedroom is matured with neutral walls (Creamy

colour) showing that she is grown up, double bed and mirror lit up

with fairy lights around the edge of it also „CHRIS <3‟ written with

lip stick upon the mirror.

PAN UPWARDS of JESSIES feet to the top of her head exposing her

outfit which will be a party dress. The dress will not be exposing

too much of her body.

CUT TO:

2 INT. INSIDE CAR – DAY 1 2101

CHRIS is sat in the car outside JESSIES house waiting for her. CHRIS

looks around him suspiciously making sure that no one is around then

we witness CHRIS pour white powder onto the dash board and then

sniff it. CHRIS then starts to rub his nose while looking around

again. JESSIE then opens the door and climbs inside smiling and

leans across kissing CHRIS on the cheek.

JESSIE

Hey, I‟m ready let‟s go

CHRIS rubs his nose again and then starts the engine and drives off.

CUT TO:

3 EXT. FOREST AREA – DAY 1 2130

Establishing shot of the forest and car driving past

CUT TO:

4 CAR INT. INSIDE CAR – DAY 1 2130

Both JESSIE and CHRIS in car (Car not yet known). CHRIS driving.

JESSIE is starting to drink so she has a can in her hand

(CONTINUED)

“Ravey” music is playing. Dancing and messing around (Hoping up and

down almost like big fish little fish actions with hands)Close up of


the speed dial as we see it increase from 20PMH to 40MPH. CHRIS then

leans over and grabs a can and pops it open.

JESSIE

CHRIS you are driving you cannot drink yet, do you want to kill us?!

OPTION A:Chris looks at JESSIE and takes a massive gulp from the can

then suddenly car begins to slow down with smoke coming from beneath

the bonnet as the car comes to a halt next to the oaky forest.

OPTION B:CHRIS looks at JESSIE and takes a massive gulp from the

can. Then suddenly the car hits a bump in the road and CHRIS loses

control of the car.

5. SCREEN GOES BLACK – DAY 1 2134

6. EXT. OUTSIDE THE CAR NEXT TO WOODS DAY 1 2135

CHRIS is leaning over the bonnet of the car using a torch to see

while he is messing around with the engine.

CHRIS

For fuck sake, this is typical!

JESSIE

Calm down we will just phone someone at the party and get them to

come get us

JESSIE flips out phone however she has no reception. Puts phone in

air trying to gain reception whilst walking around the car

JESSIE

Ermm I cannot seem to find any reception

CHRIS slams the bonnet of the car in anger. He grabs the GPS out the

car and a close up of the GPS shows that the destination is not too

far.

CHRIS

Look! The party is like just through this forest, just chill out and

follow me. The car can stay here.

CHRIS walks into the forest; JESSIE then runs after him grabbing his

hand tight once she gets to CHRIS.

CUT TO:

7 EXT IN THE FOREST – DAY 1 2200


CHRIS holding JESSIE around the waist securely pulling her into him.

Walking looking around the forest slow gradual steps. JESSIE has a

very scared/worried look upon her face whereas CHRIS is calm and

relaxed. The forest goes on as far as the eye can see nothing but

trees surrounding them, hard to see what‟s in front of them it‟s

that dark. Wildlife noises coming from every direction from owls and

flutters of wings.

JESSIE

CHRIS are you sure you know where we are going? I think we are lost

CHRIS

Obviously I know where we are just another 5 minute or so walk from

here.

Then a strange childlike tune starts to play a few meters away from

where CHRIS and JESSIE are standing

JESSIE

CH-CHRIS can you hear that?

CHRIS

Yeah it sounds like its coming from over there

CHRIS shines the torch into the direction in which he can hear the

noise. CHRIS notices a small object in a clearing of the forest.

CHRIS let‟s go of JESSIES hand and cautiously walks towards it.

CHRIS bends down and picks it up brushing off all the leaves and the

mud from it to expose that it is a JACK IN THE BOX. The box is small

and damaged and had an old look to it. There are colourful pictures

on the box however have been dimmed in colour due to the damages to

it.

CHRIS

Look at this like some sort of JACK IN THE BOX have not seen one of

these since I was child, I used to love playing with this

JESSIE

CHRIS just put it down its old and dirty I just want to get out of

this forest already

(CONTINUED)


JESSIE tries to hit the box out of CHRIS‟S hands however CHRIS moves

in time holding the box away from JESSIE.

CHRIS begins to turn the handle round as it musical tune starts to

play.

JESSIE

CHRIS just put it down its really creeping me out!

CHRIS

(Just sniggers while continuing to spin the handle)

CHRIS continues to spin the handle slowly round as JESSIE continues

trying to get the box out his hands to stop him.

The JACK IN THE BOX opens CHRIS stares at it for a few seconds then

blood starts to pour out his mouth and nose. CHRIS then collapses

onto the floor dropping the box next to him which is now empty and

is also has blood pouring from it. JESSIE screams then runs into the

forest.

CUT TO:

8 EXT IN THE FOREST – DAY 1 2220

Loads of different shots of JESSIE running through the forest.

JESSIE is getting caught on the tree branches and running in out of

the trees. JESSIE then stops at a giant tree and leans on it trying

to catch her breath (Heavy breathing). JESSIE takes a few moments to

try and figure out the situation which has just happened (Confused

expression).

JESSIE can hear the crunches on the leaves from footsteps coming

from every direction. JESSIE looking around frantically trying to

figure out where this noise is coming from.

JESSIE slowly peers round the side of the tree (non-diagetic music)

to see CHRIS standing there with no expression upon his face and is

also dressed up as the same JACK from the box. CHRIS has a pale face

with clown make up also outfit closely matches the JACK from the

box.

CHIS then starts the sluggishly walk towards JESSIE. CHRIS is

humming the same tune in what the JACK IN THE BOX was creating

(CONTINUED)


JESSIE freezes (Cuts back and forth between JESSIES face and CHRIS

face)JESSIE spins and runs away from CHRIS in who is continuing to

sluggishly walk behind her.

JESSIE

CHRIS if this is some kind of trick stop it, it‟s not funny anymore!

CUT TO:

9 EXT IN THE FOREST DAY 1 2230

More fast pace shots of JESSIE running through the forest heavy

breathing.

Out of nowhere CHRIS steps in front of JESSIES path (Humming tune)

JESSIE skids falling over but quickly gets back up and continues

running across the other direction

Yet again CHRIS slumps into JESSIES path (Humming tune)

JESSIE

AHHHH what‟s wrong with you?

JESSIE then spins round and runs the opposite way again this time

she sees a small cottage farm house with its lights on. JESSIE sees

the small farm house in the distance and runs towards it down a

muddy road truck leading straight to the entrance of the farm house.

10 EXT AT THE FARM HOUSE DAY 1 2243

JESSIE reaches the farm house and frantically bangs on the door

JESSIE

HELP! HELP! Please open the door!

OPTION A:The door creaks open she can see nothing but darkness

inside the farmhouse she walks inside the door slams shut.

OPTION B:The door opens and CHRIS is standing there. Cut to Jessies

face then END.

11SCREEN GOES BLACK

JESSIE screams

Then the same humming starts.
