Secluded Oceanside Weddings
Thank you for your interest in Tsa Kwa Luten, the Oceanfront Resort at Cape Mudge and for the
opportunity to provide you with information for a wedding ceremony and reception at our property. We
know that you have choices and appreciate that you are considering our Oceanside facility located on the
southern tip of Quadra Island.
Tsa Kwa Luten is a unique property offering the romance of the ocean nearby and the coastal mountains in
the background. It is a spectacular location for a memorable wedding day with perfect wedding day
photographs.
Accommodation
Tsa Kwa Luten Lodge is proud to be a 4 Star resort. We have 29 Main Lodge rooms and 6 Beachfront
Cottages, all with stunning views of Discovery Passage and the mountains of Vancouver Island.

Setting the Scene for Your Special Day
As experienced host of countless weddings, Tsa Kwa Luten Lodge and your in-house wedding coordinator
can provide you with a total package, customized to your specific needs or we can suggest what has been
successful in the past. Your choice!
The gazebo or meadow area can be decorated and with the romance of the ocean, the coastal mountains
in the background, it is the perfect setting for memorable wedding photographs.
Afterwards, guests can socialize and enjoy the vistas from our ocean front patio or stroll along the
beachfront. You can arrange refreshments and snacks to tide over your guests until dinner and keep them
occupied while you are busy with your photographer.
If you are planning an outdoor ceremony, you will need to order rental chairs. We can assist with the set-
up according to your specifications for indoor or outdoor weddings.
Dining and Wedding Banquet
Our Dining Room and Grand Hall boasts spectacular views and we specialize in West Coast Seafood
Cuisine and our Famous Prime Rib dinners. Choose from a variety of menus to suit your special day. Our
Executive Chef will be happy to work with you to create the perfect menu. Should your party choose to
have a BBQ on the Friday evening at the cottages, we can offer an assortment of delicious salads & sides.
Just ask your Wedding Coordinator for more information. We can also host your group for a pre wedding
dinner on the Friday evening in our Grand hall.
While Visiting Quadra Island
Your in-house Wedding Coordinator will help your guests enjoy our beautiful Island to its fullest. We will
assist you and your guests in booking a number of activities including Deep Water Ocean Fishing, Whale
Watching Tours or Wildlife and Grizzly Bear Tours. These tours should be booked well in advance to avoid
disappointment. We have complimentary bicycles, acres of walking trails on site, archery, horseshoes and
bocce balls, all on site for your pleasure!
Our Main Lodge is seasonal and dates can vary. Please call to check availability.
Although our Main Lodge is closed during our off season, we do host weddings, conferences, retreats,
business functions and group parties. Our maximum capacity in the Grand Hall is approximately 120 – 140
guests depending on your seating arrangements.

Massage Services
Pamper yourselves or your guests with a massage during your stay. We offer massage and relaxation
therapies. Advance appointments are required.
Remind your guests to bring their swimwear! On the lower level of the Main Lodge we have a large
outdoor hot tub with a spectacular view of the ocean and mountains. There is also a dry sauna and a
modest fitness room.
Booking Details
If you are booking during our regular season you will need to book accommodation as well. If your
wedding date is on a Saturday, we require all of the main lodge rooms to be booked and/or paid for for the
Saturday and at least 20 of the main lodge rooms booked and/or paid for for the Friday. A non refundable
deposit of 50% of the food choice total is due no later than 90 days before the wedding day. Your in house
Wedding Coordinator will discuss options when you are ready to confirm.

Sample Itinerary and Budget Outline
9:00am is our standard decision time whether to proceed with an outdoor wedding if desired. If outdoor,
the Lodge staff will commence setting the Grand Hall with round banquet tables with a maximum of 8
people per table and set the head table as requested. If you require to decorate the Grand Hall on the
Friday, we will require a decision Friday morning on whether the wedding will take place outside or inside.
Please note that check in time is 3:00pm onwards, please take this into account when setting your
ceremony time. As a service, we would be pleased to provide your guests with your itinerary for the day on
their arrival.
Ceremony is typically at 2:00pm (Please note that guests wishing to gain access to their rooms
before 3:00pm should consider booking their room for the Friday night as we cannot guarantee that guest
rooms will be ready before this time.)

Photographs Wedding guests attend the Lodge for appetizers served near the bar area with non-alcoholic punch along
with Marshwood Estates sparkling wines. Guest will check seating arrangements. Host bar is an option,
however punch and/or sparkling wine are strongly recommended.
