Farlingaye High School is proud to present

as our Upper School production ‘Fiddler on

the Roof’. This award-winning show is a

musical theatre classic: uplifting, full of

humour, warmth and honesty. The theme is

still relevant to us today: maintaining

traditions in a world of change. It centres on

the struggles of philosophical milkman Tevye

and his family in a small Russian community

in 1905. Featuring a full student orchestra,

with superb music, singing and dancing.

Piers has travelled extensively to many parts

of Burma, including the Arakan in the West,

Myitkyina in the north, The River Sittang in

the South and the Shan Hills in the East.

He organised and guided the first British

groups to visit Kohima and Imphal and to the

Chindit areas of operations.
