SAVE THE DATE!

Meet the SCCC Office StaffPlease come by and say hello to our office staff members. We have some new faces added to our core group. Our new bookkeeper is Tracy Otsen, our project assistant is Edye Coggins, and Teresa Torres is the rental & events coordinator. They join Rebecca MacKenzie who is our programs & marketing coordinator, Sherry Jones, our front office receptionist, Roger Sherman as facility manager, and Diana Rich as executive director. We have a wonderful team of enthusiastic, skilled people who are here to serve the recreation and entertainment needs of our sweet and fabulous West Sonoma County community. Please come say hello!

TeensWork is a job readiness and placement program for West County youth. It’s now in its third year, and is gearing up for yet another series of workshops, to be held in the Spring. Any teens interested in participating are encouraged to contact the TeensWork program at [email protected]. We also are always looking for volunteers who are interested in helping with this program. Let’s get those teens jobs!

Our Remodel Project is moving forward We’ve had to make some adjustments because of the realities of limited available funds. Fortunately, as a nonprofit, that’s something were used to doing! We are still absolutely committed to the core goal of this remodel, which is to make sure our Main Hall includes downstairs accessible reception and restroom areas. That’s our first priority, and we’re on target to complete that stage by this summer. Next steps will include (we hope) upgrades to the Main Hall kitchen, exterior painting, and a decorative element to dress up the front of the Hall. This community uses this building constantly - we have over 50,000 people visits each year – and we want it to be accessible and inviting for all of you. Please join us in thanking the City of Sebastopol for allocating the funds to make this remodel happen. Without their commitment to this project, it could not become a reality!!
