Our students brought in 157 frozen turkeys, over 450 canned goods, and $700. These donations were given to Potluck Food Rescue for Arkansas (www.potluckfoodrescue.org). Student Council members were on hand early Thursday morning taking collections as students arrived at school. The members then loaded everything into the Potluck truck and sent our donations on their way to help those less fortunate than us! We hope to make a happier Thanksgiving for those in need in Arkansas! 2 ND GRADE VISITS THE ARKANSAS FOOD BANK 2 nd grade visited the Arkansas Food Bank (www.arkansasfoodbank.org) and filled food boxes that will go to those who have no food or do not have enough food to stay healthy. The students took a tour of the warehouse and saw how all the food was grouped and the dock where trucks deliver the food. The kids went into a huge freezer to see frozen food products that had been donated. They got to see where volunteers put food boxes together and discarded any food that was expired. The students also made holiday cards to go into the food boxes, and one of their drawings will be chosen to be on the cover of the Food Bank’s Holiday mailer! Student Council members were on hand early Thursday morning taking collections as students arrived at school. The members then loaded everything into the Potluck truck and sent our donations on their way to help those less fortunate than us!

We hope to make a happier Thanksgiving for those in need in Arkansas!

after school and can get food before going home, etc. The Food Bank also has a backpack program where a backpack is filled with food to take home for the weekend.

BOOKFAIR Thank you to all who helped make the annual TAS book fair a resounding success. Chair Ashley Beazley

and ParentCrew President Natalie Darnell worked tirelessly to ensure that the event was a fun, as well as a profitable, event… and their efforts paid off in a big way. This was the most successful book fair to date. We earned over $8,900 in profit for the TAS library and community. Thank you again for your dedication to the school and your children!

OFFICIAL TAS GEAR! We have several in stock TAS apparel items and accessories available! You

can purchase these through the online school store beginning Monday (12/4) or in the school office. They make great holiday gifts for your favorite Panther!

GET YOUR TAS COOKBOOK! “The Anthony School Cookbook” is a collection of recipes from the Class of 2018 TAS students, TAS faculty,

a special section from TAS PreK, and our very own Chef Paul Novicky. There are 150+ pages of tasty recipes. Cookbooks will be available for pick-up the 1st week of December. Just in time for the holidays, it’s a perfect gift! As a fundraiser for the Anthony School 8th grade class, all profits will benefit a class gift to TAS, the graduation ceremony and the class trip. An order form can be found on the website newsfeed or in the school office.

SAVE THE DATE – MARCH 3, 2018

It’s Time to Play… Anthony Adult Family Feud Survey says it’s an evening of prizes and fast money! Led by a Challenge Entertainment gaming professional – tables of 8 will compete for prizes guessing top answers from nationwide polls. You can even participate in the polls too preceding the event! Because sometimes you don’t always know the RIGHT answer… but you might know the most

POPULAR answer! So, what are the prizes? In addition to 1st and 2nd place CASH team prizes, we will be giving away prizes for just about any reason we can think of… non-stop… throughout the entire evening! Almost everyone will go home with something!

Tables are sold in groups of 8 (we can pair parties if people do not want to form a full team). Want to be

part of the fun but squeamish about competing? Buy a Studio Audience Ticket! And what’s better for a “family” gathering than potluck (please remember it’s adults only though)?! That means your team decides who brings what to dine on and you can drag your own Yeti into the gym – we’ll supply the potluck table and electricity for crockpots and warming dishes. Prefer to be pampered? We will have different sponsorship packages to choose from and cater your team of 8 with appetizers, dinner, and cocktails!

Table decorating begins an hour before competition – choose a theme. Go all out – dress the part. The

winning decorated table (by secret ballot) will win a fabulous prize! We also have a few surprises we’ll unveil as we get closer to the event - you may be exhausted when it’s

all over – but you will definitely have had fun. Anthony Adult Family Feud – March 3, 2018… ba-da ba da ba da da, da-da DAA!

Girls on the Run empowers girls with a greater sense of self-awareness, a sense of achievement, a foundation in team building and a commitment to enhancing their communities; all in order to help them become strong, healthy, confident women.
