We Are Finally Ready To Get Grilling! Summer With Sears To help with this backyard transformation I turned to Sears as part of

their #SummerWithSears campaign. To get us ready for all the big

grilling holidays coming up, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, 4th of July

and my daughter’s 3rd birthday I started by looking through Sears’

Online Catalog.

I fell in love with this Kenmore 4-Burner Gas Grill. It was a great deal

and also by shopping and ordering online I was able to get an even

better discount. Did you know you can make your purchases using

Paypal? Checkout was quick and easy and all we had to do was wait

for our confirmation email and then go pick it up.

Pick-up day was almost like Christmas for me. The best part was

they already had assembled our grill, so we could take it home and

start grilling right away. We had just enough room for it on the back of

the truck. Under the tarp the flatbed was loaded with strawberry and

watermelon starts for the farm.

New Grill for Summer After looking through the Sears online catalog we checked out the local

ad and that is what got us to stumble upon this steal of a deal grill! It

was $229 in the catalog, $170 online and $149.93 at our store! We

were able to use a $15/100 coupon code since we bought it online and

picked it up in store. SCORE! All of their patio furniture, decor and grills

are on sale so I would recommend setting your preferred store to see

what rockin’ finds are at your store! I do know that you can get $80 off

Kenmore 4 burner gas grills and 20% off cushions and lawn furniture

right now.

We did not take advantage of the free in store assembly, all throughout

May, because we were on a time table when we picked up our grill. I

had no idea that Sears offers a layaway, free in-store assembly and free

delivery on orders of $499.99+!

Isn’t she beautiful?! I literally could not sleep because I was so excited

to have our first grilling experience! Grilling always seemed like it was

so easy compared to cooking in the house and I wanted to be inducted

into the cool kid club!

Making Memories by the GrillAnd, thanks to Sears, the #GrillingisHappiness campaign, and

Collective Bias I had the opportunity to find that new grill none-too-

soon! We have a grilling tragedy happening in my house right now.

Our current grill has seen better days…in fact, I am not even sure it

can grill anymore…it is time to put it out of it’s misery.

Online checkout was SO SIMPLE! I selected to pick up my items at

the local Sears store – and guess what - that option is Free! During

checkout, I finally registered my Shop Your Way Rewards card.

Time to start getting credit for those purchases! I have had a card for

awhile, but am anxious to learn more about the rewards and program.

The Beginning of a Beautiful SummerInstead of heading right to the store, now we can

research and shop online to make sure we buy

the best quality product for the best price. Justin

and I utilized the Sears online catalog and the

Grill Finder at the Grilling Is Happiness website to

find the perfect grill and accessories. The catalog

offered a wealth of information at a quick glance.

We liked being able to see several options on one

page with the features and price clearly listed.

After we placed our order, we waited on e-mail

letting us know our items were ready for pick-up.

Next came the fun part- spending time with our

family and friends while trying out our new grill

and smoker. Hubby couldn’t buy just a grill, he

had to have a gas smoker too. He assembled

them both Saturday, then we took them to the

river and put them to use Sunday.

Our Backyard Bonanza We love grilling in the summer months {actually, all year round} but

we’ve always loved the idea of having some alternative outdoor cooking

methods as well. We decided to check out the options available at Sears.

The Sears Outdoor Catalog had me drooling and wishing I was in the

market for more than just something to cook with. Some new outdoor

furniture would be a great addition to my patio. I’d gladly retire my hand-

me-downs and forest green chair cushions {sorry, Mom}.

For our purchase, we tested the layaway option offered at Sears. It was

very simple and very quick to set up. In addition to the layaway program,

I also signed up for the Sears Shop Your Way Rewards program and

earned lots of points for my purchase.

We came home with a gas smoker {yep, we’re Texans!}, a turkey fryer kit

{wait till you see what we used it for}, and a small gas grill. The perfect

set up for some backyard family fun! And a heck of a deal.

Orderly & Easy Summer Cooking with Sears Grilling Is HappinessI’m happy to report that Nana is officially ready for summer

grilling. In fact, just this weekend she had her first grill out of

the season and in her new home. This might not seem like a

big deal to some, but Nana loves to grill in the summer.

But rather than heading to the store with three little boys in

tow, we turned on our laptops to shop for the necessities. And

the best part is that we didn’t have to pay for shipping! By

choosing to pick up our items in store, we were able to shop in

the comfort of our respective homes.

Sears actually has a site dedicated to preparing families for the

upcoming grilling season titled Grilling Is Happiness.

Get Your Grill On with the Help of Sears! So as we started our preparations for the kick off of summer next

weekend with Memorial Day, we had to get the grill and outdoor area

ready for the festivities that are sure to follow. With Father’s Day, 4th

of July and just regular weekend bar-b-que’s, my goal this year was to

add a touch of sparkle to our outdoor space. But we had a problem.

Our grill has been used and used and used and used. And it was on

it’s last leg.

So, if we were going to keep up the grilling excellence that is an

expectation in our home, something HAD to be done! And it was

Sears to the rescue! I started out by sitting down with the hubby to

look at the local deals and check out the Sears Online Catalog. Let

me just say, you can get so sucked in! I fell in love with so many of

the ideas and had a very hard time focusing on what we were looking

for. And Sears makes it so easy to visualize magical make overs of

your porch or patio with the wonderful outdoor living options that they

present! Each and every page spurred another great idea in my head

of how to transform our space for the Summer months. However, as

soon as we clicked on the grill page and the hubby’s eyes landed on

the Kenmore grill, it was love at first sight.

A Summer of GrillingIt looks so much better with the gorgeous grill on our deck…

the colorful dishes don’t hurt either. This is going to be great

for cookouts with family and friends.

I love how this grill looks. It’s about two times bigger than

our previous grill plus it has a side burner to keep food

warm. Oh, and it is easy to light which means that I can

cook out any time I want and I won’t have to wait for Alan

to get home to light the grill. I’m excited to get the summer

parties started.We’ll be grilling out with friends and family

for holidays and also for everyday meals. I’m so happy

we decided to update our grill at Sears. They had a great

selection plus I was able to find fun summer dishes to add

some color to the deck.

If you are looking for a new deck I really recommend

checking out the selection at Sears. Be sure to watch their

sale circulars for special promos like free grill sets, free

assemble, and same low price all summer.

We’re Smokin’ Baby!We decided to shop at one of my my husband’s favorite

stores, Sears. We’re a military family and I love that Sears

supports our troops with programs like Heroes at Home

and discounts on items like tools. Not to mention you can

use your Shop Your Way Rewards card to rack up some

points on your purchases that can be redeemed later as

gift cards!

We’re both big time online shoppers so it seemed obvious

for us both to pull out our computers and start there.

Luckily, Sears has an online Outdoor Catalog (like their

Christmas catalog-don’t get me started on that! LOVE IT).

I started looking at grills immediately. I wanted a new one.

The hubs immediately went to the patio furniture because

he hates our glass tabletop. There were so many choices.

We went straight for the smokers, found the one we

wanted and continued shopping while the cashier went to

see if it was in stock.

Fire up the GrillI used the nifty Grill Finder online tool to see what grill was

recommended for our family and usage – it was fun, but the

grills I like are out of our price range for this visit. The online

variety for decor was fantastic and I got so many inspiring

ideas… like a grilling pizza stone, a fire pit, solar lighting!

I focused on cleaning up the grill area, improving seating

and lighting, and creating additional seating space in our

driveway to extend the patio area.

My local Sears didn’t have the fire pit and lighting options

I’d wanted from the online catalog, so I had to change up

my decorating plan. Instead, I decided to get this hanging

votive chandelier to light up the inside of our gazebo – now

we’ll have a lovely nighttime space to chat after dinner!

I think a feature that draws the eye upwards creates the

illusion of more space… don’t you?
