    SEAMAAC, Inc. To Celebrate 30th

    Anniversary on June 19th

    University of the Arts, Hamilton Hall On June 19, 2014, SEAMAAC (founded in 1984 by

    refugees from Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, as the Southeast Asian Mutual Assistance AssociationsCoalition, Inc.) will celebrate 30 years of history making in Philadelphia. For the past 30 years,

    SEAMAAC has brought crucially needed educational, social, and health services to tens of thousands

    of immigrant, refugee and native-born individuals and families in the Greater Philadelphia area. After

    three decades of service SEAMAAC has been continuously led by refugee leadership, and remains

    true to our mission, to support immigrants, refugees, and their families as they seek access to

    opportunities, which would advance the condition of their lives in the United States . Today

    SEAMAAC serves more than 20 distinct linguistic communities and has specific programs for women,

    children and the elderly.

    On June 19th

    , 2014 from 6 to 9pm, SEAMAAC will host an evening gala featuring some of

    Philadelphias best visual and performing artists. In addition to an evening of cocktails and a

    delicious array of Southeast Asian cuisine and catered hors d'oeuvres, SEAMAAC will featureperformers such as African Percussionist Blamoh Doe, Cambodian Classical Dancer, Lanica

    Angpak and Japanese Taiko Drumming by Hiro Taiko.

    The evening will also feature a spectacular Silent Art Auction featuring many of the regions besttalents, including:

    John Abner, Brian Bazemore, Gerard Brown, Corey Chao, Erica Cho, Allan Edmunds,

    Harvey Finkle, Fred Floyd, Gerry Givnish, Patricia Gunter, Betty Leacraft, Lana

    Leckendorn, Gary Bryant Logan Amir Lyles, Toni Nash, Boone Nguyen, Nadine

    Patterson, Tim Portlock, Robert Pruitt, Marta Sanchez, Paul Santoleri, Caroline

    Savage, Toshi Sasaki, Rana Sindhikara, Gary Smalls, David Stephens, Walter Stephens,

    Jeffrey Stovall, JJ Tiziou, Rea Tajiri, Shawn Theodore, Richard Watson, Phil B. Welcomeand Sam Zolten.

    SEAMAAC will also honor Anita Santos-Singh with the 30th Anniversary American Mosaic

    Awardgiven to Philadelphians who have made significant contributions to helping our city maintain

    the diversity and richness of Philadelphias cultural tapestry. Join us as we celebrate and honor our
