World Teachers Day 2020

Australia will celebrate and thank the teaching profession on World Teachers’ Day on Friday 30th October 2020.

Teachers (with support from parents and carers) have ensured education continues across the country this year, despite major challenges. It’s reinforced the significant role teachers play in the lives of children and students, their families and communities.

On Friday, say a big thank you to your teachers and celebrate the bright future of teaching.

2021 SRC Election Timeline This week class teachers will talk to students in Years 4 & 5 about leadership and what it takes to be a good leader prior to the Student Representative Council nominations and speeches. The SRC election timeline will then proceed as follows:

Week 4 (Monday 2nd November) - All nominations due to Mrs Stevens by 3.15pm.

Week 5 (Wednesday 11th November) - Nominees in Years 4 & 5 to deliver their 1 minute speech to their own year level followed by voting for students to proceed to the next level.

Week 7 (Wednesday 25th November) - Proceeding candidates from Years 4 & 5 will deliver their 1 minute speech to students in Years 2-5 in the hall at 12 noon. This is followed by voting by students in Years 2-5 and staff.

The 2021 Student Representative Council will be announced on Presentation Day 2020.

Cross Country

The 5, 6 and 7 year old students all tried their very best yesterday in the Cross Country. Well done to all the participants and a special congratulations to place getters in each race. The Cross Country for 8+ years will be held tomorrow. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions we are unable to have parents/carers as spectators on school premises/grounds.

Athletics Carnival

Weather permitting, we will be holidng our Athletics Carnival on Monday 2nd November. Students are reminded to wear house colours, a hat and sunscreen and to bring a water bottle. Enclosed footwear is to be worn.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions we are unable to have parents/carers as spectators on school premises/grounds.
