Ø The minerals contained in the seawater accumulate in theseaweed. This explains the large variety of chemicalelements found in seaweed material. Moreover, theycontain carbohydrates, amino acids, fats and vitamins.

Ø Analyses of the the fibre and the aqueous extracts of thefibre showed that the active ingredients of algae material are also contained in fibres and fabrics.

SeaCell® fibre and fabrics made of SeaCell® contain the vitamins of thealgae material, with the exception of the water-soluble vitamin C.

Ø The active ingredients are not destroyed during the fibremanufacturing process.

Ø The active ingredients are incorporated in the porous fibrematrix.

Ø The minerals and vitamins are released from the fibre in a humidenvironment.

Ø The textile fibre properties of the SeaCell® fibre are compareable tothose of standard Lyocell fibres.

Ø The fibre is manufactured using the product and environmentalfriendly Lyocell technology.
