From the Principal Dear Parents,
CHRISTMAS CONCERT It was a great pity that we had to postpone our concert on Tuesday evening. We were all disappointed but felt the weather would have made the event most unpleasant and possibly less safe. We notified as many parents as possible via our Skoolbag App and other parents kindly communicated to others and sent messages via social media. Notifications have been sent today via the Skoolbag App, the school’s website and by a note home notifying that the concert is going ahead tonight.
A very sincere thanks to Wayne Daisley and his family for their efforts on Tuesday in setting up the stage and sound equipment, this takes hours to do. Thanks to Barmy who donated some lights. Also to Alf our crossing supervisor, Mr Cochran and a band of terrific parents who helped with the set up and pack up of the area on Tuesday night. Your time and assistance was greatly appreciated. We apologize to the families who came on the night. We plan to go ahead tonight.
GRADUATION Grade 6 graduation earlier this week proved to be another successful night. Our grade 6 students shone as they presented, sang and danced. Thank you to the wonderful teachers at Seabrook who have prepared the children over their years for this event and of course their parents. The children thoroughly enjoyed the night.
HOLIDAYS ARE HERE We are all spinning that 2014 is nearly at an end. A big thank you again to all our parent helpers who have assisted the school and the children in so many ways. This includes our ladies in the second hand uniform shop, the school banking group, fundraising/parent helpers, School Council and other volunteers who help out at our school events and in classrooms.
Our job is so much easier when we have your support and assistance with learning and everyday operations. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy holiday and all the best for the New Year.
ASSEMBLY We plan to hold our last day assembly in the courtyard on Friday at 12:45pm. Considering the weather patterns let’s hope we can have our whole school outdoor assembly. The children will be dismissed from their classrooms for the holidays at 1:30 p.m.
SCHOOLBOOK COLLECTION DAY Thursday January 24th between 8:30am - 6pm. Cash and credit card payments can be made prior or on the day of collection. Please come to the office for directions.
NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH We would really appreciate it that if anyone notices intruders clearly making mischief in our school over the holidays to could call 000. Thank you. Thanks again to all our Seabrook family and friends.
Happy holiday time to you all.

Grade 3 and Grade 4’s Football Day
On Thursday 11th December a group of excited grade 3’s and 4’s headed off to Laverton Football oval for a day of football. Seabrook Primary entered two teams of mixed abilities, ages and a combination of girls and boys. They participated in three games against other schools in the area across the day. With all the exceptional talent Seabrook Primary has both teams (Seabrook 1 and Seabrook 2) entered the big grand final undefeated. Mr Brown and Miss McClure felt the pressure from the opposition and they both came up with a game plan for the big game. Seabrook 2 came out strong in the first half with a convincing lead, however half time arrived and Seabrook 1 came out fighting. It came down to the wire and Miss McClure’s team (Seabrook 2) was triumphant by the slimmest of margins. Congratulations to Jordan, Summer, Tayla and Joshua for being awarded sportsmanship medals for their skill and their
