A Letter from Our President... My Lovely Sisters, I’m not going to lie but writing this small letter has been hard for me due to a lack of words. I am truly honored to be the newly elected president of the Delta Theta chapter of Sigma Delta Tau, a position I have wanted since the moment I crossed. Until today, I never really considered what I would do if I ever accomplished it. But the moment I became a sister I knew I wanted to one day hold a posi- tion in which I could service and give back to a sisterhood that has taught me so much, and has watched me grow tremendously. All I can say is that I have big plans for the coming semester and I am so excited to jump into it with the amazing e-board and g-board I will be working with. Don’t get me wrong; I am going to need the entire sorority’s support and involvement if we want this upcoming semester to be successful, fun, and fulfilling in helping our chapter grow. I know through planning ahead of time, prioritizing, and being able to time-manage our strenuous college day-to-day agendas, we can be there for each other at events, fundraisers, and community service events, representing our beautiful letters and showing off just how grΣΔΤ being a part of Sigma Delta Tau truly is. XOXO, Jaquelyn Morales Pesticide President of the Delta Theta chapter of Sigma Delta Tau

A Letter from Our President...My Lovely Sisters,I’m not going to lie but writing this small letter has been hard for me due to a lack of words. I am truly honored to be the newly elected president of the Delta Theta chapter

of Sigma Delta Tau, a position I have wanted since the moment I crossed. Until today, I never really considered what I would do if I ever accomplished it. But the moment I became a sister I knew I wanted to one day hold a posi-tion in which I could service and give back to a sisterhood that has taught me so much, and has watched me grow tremendously. All I can say is that I have big plans for the coming semester and I am so excited to jump into it with the amazing e-board and g-board I will be working with. Don’t get me wrong; I am going to need the entire sorority’s

support and involvement if we want this upcoming semester to be successful, fun, and fulfilling in helping our chapter grow.

Piñas is the town in Ecuador that Karina’s family is from. Karina was invited by the mayor of Piñas to take part in the next election of their native Miss Piñas representing New York. While holding her title, she helped raise money for an organization in Piñas that is building a nursing home for the elderly in this town. She raised a total of $7,300!

Michelle Davret & Safisha HarrisIn the Spring, close friends Michelle and Safisha were elected as New Member Educator and Assistant New Member Educator for our newly initiatied Xi class. Safisha said her favorite part was, “Watching the friendships grow, and seeing them grow from strangers to sisters.” Michelle loved the whole process, but teach-ing them about our sorority reminded her why she loves SDT. The new girls liked their sassy attitudes and looked up to them.

Megan McAleer Jaclyn MichelettiMegan Mac took her new position of Sister-hood Chair to the next level. This position had never reached it’s potential before, but Megan finally started

“Sister of the Week” and actually brought sunshine to all of her sisters. The weekly activity became one everyone looked forward to, and all thanks to her creative rhymes.

Jackie finished her second semester as Social Chair on a high note. She proved her skills through a phenomal formal up until our most recent F*** Cancer Party. Jackie taught us about hard work behind-the-scenes, and continued to be a great example for all of her sisters.
