“PLANK OWNERS” Be Part of Making a Home for Marines and Family Members to Gather. Be Part of Preserving our Her-itage and Traditions. Having the title of “Plank Own-er” includes certain rights and privileges—including bragging rights of being part of the beginning of a new adven-ture for Marines in Indiana.

GOAL- $200,000

Job openings at HIB

1– Training Officer- This person would be responsible to give short lessons on uniform code, By-laws, officer responsibilities , teach the MCL Professional development program to members

2– Flea Market Chairperson- With the space that we have in our parking lot, we could host a great money making Flea Market, to coincide with our BBQ’s. One event would draw customers for the other. The first one we tried flopped, because I tried to do the advertising and promotion, and not being a Flea Market devotee I did a poor job. I know there are mem-bers out there who are Flea Market people. Who wants to step up and chair these events, and make money for the Detachment to support it’s causes?

3– Barracks Baby Sitters– we need people to stay at the barracks when events are sched-uled and the hall is rented out to protect the interest of the MCL and the Marine foundation during these functions. This would only be on an occasional basis, but people are need to re-live the few that are doing it now.

Contact me if you are interested in helping out the Detachment by doing any of these jobs…... [email protected]
