SCUTELLARIA SUFFRUTESCENS PINK SKULLCAP
Pink Skullcap makes a great little groundcover for the Southwest! This compact plant will generally grow to about 8” tall by 1-2’wide, possibly a little bigger in the shade. Waves of pink flowers that look like little snapdragons will grace this plant from spring through fall. In the low deserts like Phoenix this plant will do best with some afternoon shade, but does great in full sun elsewhere. Skullcap combines well with other xeriscape plants and will provide a nice change of pace. In colder areas it might need a good hard pruning in the spring to remove frost-damaged foliage.
