“Purely bespoke for the finest homes...”

On the following pages you will find a collection of our latest projects which have all been designed, manufactured and installed by our team over the last few years.

This collection shows just what can be achieved when designers have passion for a product and our clients are inspired to take the journey with us from conception to completion. Truly bespoke manufacturers have a responsibility initially through design, moving forward to workshop manufacturing and hand-crafting cabinetry with the final installation process every bit as important.

These are some examples where our clients have been kind enough to allow us to photograph their homes and we are grateful to all contributors.

The worktops are honed slate which were chosen to compliment the

random sized Priory flagstones.

The diagonal corner cabinet is actually a Norcool corner fridge and the gable panel is scribed around the original shape of the wall.

This farmhouse kitchen is a great example of our kitchen collection made without our famous inset frame construction. Our client felt that the additional detail of the frames and hinges would detract from the simplicity of the design and opted for a ‘concelaed hinge’ construction to compliment the big statement pieces in the room which include the AGA, original Oak beams and the pitched barn ceiling and lights dropped into focus.

Timeless classicOur famous bi-fold pantry cabinet is tucked in nicely between Liebherr fridge and freezer with a simple drawer cabinet below which houses spice, bread and pastry drawers. The main pantry tucks the toaster and provisions away nicely when not in use. Directly opposite is a beautiful dresser cabinet with solid Walnut waterfall edged worktops and scribed skirting detail. In between the pantry and dresser sits a solid Walnut table which was designed and made to suit the space once the furniture was installed within the room.

This Shaker kitchen sits beautifully within the period features of a Georgian townhouse and our

designer Kimberley Heeps has added some curves and colour to bring the entire space to life. There are three Farrow and Ball colours in the furniture and we have complimented this with our polished Walnut internals in all our cabinetry.

Open plan living and the functionality between kitchen and dining spaces is one of our specialities. In this opulent and contemporary kitchen and dining room the emphasis is on quality throughout and the attention to detail is simply breathtaking.

An Open Invitation

The sweeping Island contains a Wolf rangetop hob configuration, with worktop mounted electric griddle and induction hobs to each side. On the rear of the island the dropped table section provides a comfortable breakfast area or a space to chat to the chef of the house and watch dinner unfold.

The long view of the room brings a bit more scale into the project. Looking through from the dining room reveals the tall bank of cabinets behind the Island with Wolf cookers flanked by tall fridge freezers and some major pantry space. This is a serious kitchen for cooking and entertaining, the appliances, materials and workmanship is second to none.

An Open Invitation

The brief to ensure that the big scale appliances did not dominate the room was met by mixing materials in hand painted and Walnut finishes to soften the impact of the

steel, also hanging a Batterie de’ Cuisine in the center of the room over the Island. The other challenge was to adapt the old Butler’s pantry into a modern design and style whilst working with a curved wall internal. The space is completed by Leathered stone worktops and a specially commissioned Venetian Plaster finish to the Mantle walls which we built for the very purpose!

Georgian Splendour

Page 11: Sculleries of stockbridge vol001

We had the pleasure of working with a blank canvass for the furniture providing we could adapt around some pretty big statement pieces on the appliance side. On one side of the room we have a full size AGA whilst opposing this is a collection of Sub Zero cooling appliances, Gagganua coffee machine and Miele microwave.

This hand painted inset frame kitchen sits elegantly within a Georgian terraced home in a former dining room.

Let there be light

The lighting design within this room is particularly effective because great attention has been taken to ensure that the glazed top cabinets give visual depth and practical yet beautiful light and effect. The design incorporates lots of light hand painted furniture along with stainless steel appliances which balance out the American Black Walnut pieces, making them subtle touches of warmth.

Once again the furniture is able to stand up to some fairly big pieces of appliances whilst easily holding its own in the room, a great result for the design team.

A key ingredient to a bespoke kitchen design is the lighting designed within the cabinetry

itself and the surrounding areas.

In this particular example the glazed mirror doors within the bedroom open to reveal a hidden en-suite.

Within the L.E.D lights spring to life via an infrared sensor fitted to the doors themselves. This gives the room an instant wash of warm light over the Calacatta marble bath panel, sink worktop and splashback.

Bathroom furniture has long been a favourite of ours. Bathrooms demand a heavy attention to detail when trying to work furniture, painted or solid, into a room where the dominating factors will always be the bathware. Our designers take great care in concept form when planning bathrooms to ensure that individual pieces of furniture and major statements in bathware can coexist in harmony.

Further lights are hidden in channels below the drawers on the Wevet and Oak washstand and above the mirror throwing light on the pitched ceiling. The polished Calacatta floor tiles further reflect the light and give a warm cosy feel for an evening soak with a glass of wine or a cup of tea.

Page 16: Sculleries of stockbridge vol001

The shower enclosure steam cabin was

designed in house and made by a specialist glass supplier, it surrounds bookmatched marble panels over a wetroom floor and wedi system.

The Dornbracht shower system in this room not only provides a revitalising soak with

the Rain showerhead plus cascade and body sprays; the glass panel on the shower wall is the Effegibi Touch & Steam Hammam panel system which also provides steam and chromatherapy healing

Our clients brief for the room was somewhere comfortable and luxurious to retreat to after a busy family and business day. They had been extremely happy with the luxury kitchen that we designed and installed with great success for them a year or two earlier, so it seemed only natural to ask us back to turn an old-fashioned Jack and Jill bathroom into a spa-like retreat. The opposite wall has twin basins, each with storage underneath and a mirror above backed with slabs of bookmatched marble, matching the finish of the shower area and the top of the bespoke solid Oak cabinetry.

The sinks are formed from solid granite. With a honed polished bowl. The granite is leathered and in a single sheet behind the shower providing an excellent surface impervious to showering! We also installed a cleat hook in the shower for the wet rugby kit to be hung on after training!

This bathroom furniture is based on our Linear design which is available in all of our polished wood finishes. In this

particular room our remit was to provide a bathroom which would be used by a growing family and in particular the children. The design takes into account the need to have the best materials in the most practical applications.

Floating wall fitted furniture has been used throughout the design including the section within the bay window, hidden laundry compartments and a bespoke towel rail marry the furniture to the wall colour and add a feeling of space to the overal design.

REACHING NEW HEIGHTS

This example of our Georgian bedroom furniture utilises the ceiling height within this city centre period property. The Robe cabinets have a ladder rail section built into the cornice so that there is good access

for the things stored above not normally used every day.

We worked closely with the exsiting finishes in the room

to create pieces of furniture which work seamlessly with their surroundings. The longevity in design and manufacture was absolutely key for our client who wished to update the room but remain sympathetic to the original period features.

The internal fittings as ever were just as important and the cabinets are made in a polished Oak finish with solid Oak drawers and solid frames. The cabinets doors and all external surfaces are finished Hand -painted in Farrow & Ball

Page 21: Sculleries of stockbridge vol001
Page 22: Sculleries of stockbridge vol001

For many years we have crafted bedroom cabinets, robes and drawers without major change

or focus on the design. Recent changes to manufacture principles and the introduction of different materials along with the fashion for painted finishes has changed the way we view these rooms and design bedroom furniture.

This room has been treated to our elegant inset frame furniture with a Victorian beaded design and diamond panel mirror inserts. Starting with laying the engineered Oak floor to match the cabinet internals and the Island. Bedside table tops are also in solid oak and finishing with the handmade and handpainted bed we were able to specify all of the materials from concept to completion which was a great pleasure for our design team.

The cabinets wrapping around the room and the doors hiding the secret en-suite are finished in Farrow & Ball Pavillion Grey with the dressing table Island in Hague Blue, walls are finished in Strong white with Whimbourne White on the ceiling.

Most of the photography within this brochure is concentrated on the external appearance and the

finished article (and for good reason), but each and every one of our cabinets has a story to tell inside. Pictured here is a classic example of the internal fittings of our bedroom range, solid Oak drawers within a polished Oak cabinet provide that extra piece of luxury that only a truly bespoke manufacturer will consider. On previous pages you will notice that our kitchens and bathrooms get the same thorough treatment and attention to detail. You can choose your materials, speak with your designer and agree internal drawers, heights of shelves, thickness of frames, detailing pieces to make the room your very own. Don’t worry about the abundance of possibilities, just tell us what you need and we will make the rest happen as seamlessly as we possibly can.
