    GENERAL INFORMATION

    registration, including presenters, panelists, moderators, etc.

    AIRPORT INFORMATION

    BWI, Dulles, and Reagan/National airports are all about equidistant from the Mount.

    In NON-rush-hour, it is about 75 minutes from each to Emmitsburg.If you come in around rush-hour, the best order is: BWI, Dulles.

    LODGINGMain Hotel: We have blocked rooms at:

    Eisenhower Hotel and Conference Center. It is about 8 miles north of the Mount.717-334-8121 http://www.eisenhower.com/

    They are reserved as The Society of Catholic Social Scientists conference/Mount St. Marys.

    Reservations must be made before SEPTEMBER 23!

    There are two other hotels nearby:

    This is about 3-4 miles north of the Mount (at the Route 140 Emmitsburg Exit).

    The Mount is located right on Route 15, between Thurmont and Emmitsburg. It is completely visible and has its

    own exit, so you cannot miss it!

    To/From the Hotel. Mapquest directions at: http://mapq.st/1stQSDrTake Route 15 North for about 4 miles (into Pennsylvania).Take the US-15 Bus exit toward Steinwehr Ave.

    Merge onto Emmitsburg Rd/US-15 Bus N Toward Gettysburg.The hotel is on your right, 2 miles up.

    The parking lot near the Memorial Gym (Lot 10) will be available for Friday and Saturday.

    Saturday: Lot 9 will also be available.

    SESSIONS around Campus

    Mount St. Marys University includes the undergraduate college, the Seminary, and the Grotto. Given that classes

    are in session through early Friday afternoon makes things a bit more complicated.Friday: 12:30-2; Breakout 1: Seminary! (The Seminary is not on the map, but its just across the campus soccer

    field.)

    Friday: 2:30 - 4 Keynote (Wilcox): Knott AUDITORIUM.Friday: 4-5:30: Breakout 2: Knott ACADEMIC CENTER

    Saturday: Breakout and disciplinary sessions: in the Academic Center

    Saturday: Keynote (Fagan): Knott Auditorium

    THE GROTTO

    The Grotto is reachable either by stairs behind the main (Immaculate Conception) chapel, or by car.Consider visiting the Grotto when on campus.

    MASS

    We will have a Mass at 6 pm Saturday night after the sessions.However, St. Anthonys Shrine (right next to the Mount, out the back gate) also has a 4pm Saturday Mass

    FOOD/MEALS

    The cafeteria (in Patriot Hall) will be open for lunch on Friday and Saturday.

    Friday Dinner(SCSS Banquet):Seminary Dining Room (part of the cafeteria/Patriot Hall) - see registrationform. Friday and Saturday Lunch: Friday and Saturday lunch can be purchased in the dining hall la carte orvia a comprehensive meal ticket you can obtain at registration for approximately $6-8.
