Scripture Memory

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee Psalms 119:11

Sin is defined as transgression of the law of God. The word transgression means to

violate or disobey. 1 John 3:4 _____________________________________________________________

______________________________________________________________________

Sin will keep you from God's word, And God's word will keep you from sin!

A car has an owner’s manual and if the oil is not regularly changed, as the manual suggests, then the car will not run properly. The Bible is a Christian’s owner’s manual. To “run” properly you need to obey what it says.

2 Timothy 3:16 ________________________________________________________

______________________________________________________________________

Make your own Bible Memory Book. Start with any notebook or journal and write verses that you have memorized or come across in your Bible reading that you would like to memorize. Writing a verse on paper may help you memorize it easier. Jeremiah 30:2 __________________________________________________________

______________________________________________________________________

Pair the scripture memory cards together (pages 2-7), laminate them with clear contact paper and cut out. Use the scripture memory checklist on page 8 to keep track of the verses you have memorized.

Scripture Memory Answer Guide © 2008 Christine St. George www.christianteenshop.com

Scripture Memory Answer Guide All scripture is King James Version.

John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. Jeremiah 30:2 Thus speaketh the Lord God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book. Memory Verse Cards Printing the memory cards on colored paper adds a nice touch. Put both pages together and laminate them. Use a paper punch to make holes in the upper left corners and keep together with a key ring.
