Project Experience I have had the opportunity to be involved in the design

and installation of some wonderfully successful landscape projects in my career. The following projects (among others) have challenged me to become a better landscape designer with a broader knowledge of the landscape industry.


Lake Sylvia Lake Home (design)Annandale, MN

The homeowners wanted a low maintenance design that was both functional as well as beautiful. My design limited the amount of turf areas and utilized durable plant materials to reduce the amount of mowing, pruning and weeding needed during the family’s weekend visits. Together with my crew, I was able to seamlessly incorporate a paver patio, in ground fire pit, sand playground area, boulder retaining walls and naturalistic plantings to create a low impact and visually appealing lakeshore landscape.

An outdoor dining area at this high end eatery along France Avenue posed many challenges. With creative grading, extensive planting, large stone outcroppings and a small yet effective water feature we were able to create a surprisingly tranquil space in spite of its small area and close proximity to the traffic on France Avenue.

This existing Doolittle's Air Café was remodeled and updated to a Doolittle's Woodfire Grill. The new Woodfire Grill required an outdoor dining area that complemented the sophisticated yet casual décor inside the restaurant. A mixture of St. Cloud Granite, St. Croix Limestone, fire pit, lighting, trees, shrubs and numerous perennials create a vibrant and inviting space for restaurant patrons.
