What is Scooter Hockey?

Scooter hockey is hockey that is played on a scooter on a hard surface. It consists of many of the same rules as ice hockey. Scooter hockeys gives more people the ability to play since you don’t have to know how to ice skate and it isn’t as physically demanding.

The object is to score more goals than the other team.

Scooter Hockey Rules1. Never get off scooter

during game.

2. Keep sticks on floor at all times.

3. Keep hand on holding stick on inside of handle at all times.

4. Stay under control.

5. Show good sportsmanship!

Equipment Needed

• Scooters• Mini Sticks

• Goals• Floor Tape

• I-pads (Scoreboards)

Scooter Hockey Skills

Passing: When one player passes to another player by sliding puck across floor.

Scooter Hockey SkillsCradling: When player moves puck down the floor against his or her stick so the other team cannot steal puck.

Scooter Hockey OfficialsThe officials are there to keep game under control.

Never argue with officials.

Officials will determine is goal made it into goal, get puck back into play after it goes out of bounds, and to set up face-offs.
