Scientific Network Aeronautica Integra as an open forum for transfer of knowledge to the

aeronautics and aerospace environment

The scientific network „Aeronautica Integra” was established

as an initiative of the Department of Aircrafts and Aircraft

Engines at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and

Aeronautics, Rzeszow University of Technology in 2005.

• to integrate and to increase the activity of Polish scientific

groups working in the area of aviation technologies

(scientific and industrial partners) within research and

education

• to build sound foundations for transfer of knowledge

Framework Programmes projects

• to develop co-operation between Poland and foreign

partners

• to publish the Journal of Aeronautica Integra® (JAI)

• to join European scientific networks and ESTP

Detailed aims of activity of scientific network

• permanent integration of capabilities of research centres,

taking into account their research specialisation

• aggregation of experience of many centres in the common

research area and achievement of critical mass

• preparation of national research centres (Members of the

Network) in order to join the European Research Area

(ERA)


• co-ordination of activities of research centres

• promotion of knowledge developed by the forum

• Integration and activation of Polish scientific society

dealing with aviation in order to increase the participation

of Polish partners in the projects developed under the

Framework Programmes of the European Union.



• transformation of the national network into a pan-European

network operating in the European Research Area

• generation of intellectual and material potential of the best

Polish groups carrying out research in the fields of aviation

• achievement of critical mass of research groups by

encouraging recognised research groups to join the network

• developing knowledge-based economy



• Creating possibilities of utilisation of the main instruments

of Framework Programmes, i.e. Networks of Excellence,

Integrated Projects and STREP projects, by:

- integration of national and foreign research groups active

in the field of modern aviation technology

- making new contacts and gaining scientific experience by

using the existing relationships of the Members of the

Network with the European Centres of Excellence; this

should facilitate the acquisition of know-how that would be

unavailable without carrying out the common research



Current activities:

- building and updating the interactive homepage to support current activity forms and actual information platform

- organizing meetings for partners to fulfil common tasks- organizing scientific conferences

(e.g. I Seminar on Aerospace Research and Didactics) Bezmiechowa , Poland, 26 – 28 May, 2006


Current activities:

- supporting attendance of partners in the conferences and special meetings dedicated to aerospace

- collecting materials for the first edition of the Journal of Aeronautica Integra

- preparation of the project on „UAV as a demonstrator of modern technological solutions in aerospace applications„
