Promoting STEM

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is now a national priority in USA to increase the

competitiveness.

They are planning to invest more in these subjects by incorporating well qualified teachers and instructors.

From the past data it has been observed that very few students graduate in STEM subjects due to less exposure and availability of good teachers.

Proficiency and Awareness

It has been observed that students from High Schools have less math's proficiency and interest.

Moreover they have less awareness of these subjects in regards to opportunities.

The Initiatives Taken to Promote STEM

More qualified teachers are being enrolled in STEM subjects to create student’s interest and to provide better

knowledge to students because previously even those teachers were teaching these subjects who weren't even

had majors in it.
