Science Fiction VS Fantasy

The term “sci-fi” was first proposed by “Forrest J Ackerman” in 1954. he was an American magazine editor, science fiction writer a founder of science fiction fandom and a expert of science fiction movies and fantasy films.

Sci-fi was only just in books ,novels, comics, stories such as “the arabian nights”, “the tales of bamboo cutter” and the first sci-fi literature was “Lucian’s True History in 2nd century”, that was the era when we were seperated out from mythological historical trends.Lucian was an rhetorician and satirist who wrote in Greek langugae . He was born in Samosata (Roman Empire). And Frankenstein was the first English sci-fi novel in english.In 17th century, 18th century and 19th century, lots of sci-fi novels , books and stories were written such as Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels (1726), Mary Shelley's books Frankenstein (1818) and The Last Man helped define the form of the science fiction novel.

In 21st centure, a genre is formed which is known as science fiction. Lots of movies are based on this genre such as transformers, avatar and the very known movie” Gravity” which is completely based on sci-fi and many mores.

Le Voyage dans la Lune, It is considered the first sci-fi movie which was created by Georges Méliès in 1902. It was inspired by the various sources, including Jules Verne's novels From the Earth to the Moon and Around the Moon.

Our Indian cinema has also created some fiction movies which created new records on box office such as Rajnikanth’s ROBOT, Raja Molly’s BAHUBALI, Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish series etc.

What will be the next? The term SCIENCE FICTION will be a reality? Our life will be same as SCIENCE FICTION movies such as power like Krish, Superman, Batman or the transformers like our friends or we will travel the time or space and many things like sci-fi. is that possible?
