Schools Fundraising Pack
How yourschool can support
our local charity
The money your school raises could be used to: • Transform a scary hospital room into a bright, child-friendly space • Arrange a course of music therapy to help a sick child express their feelings • Send a sibling on a fun day out to show them they are important too • Give a family a much-needed holiday in one of our New Forest holiday homes • Fund our wonderful family support team to give emotional and practical advice
Momentum is a local charity supporting children and their families who live in Surrey and South West London. Money raised by local schools like yours makes it possible for us to help families living in your community who are going through incredibly challenging times; and to transform children’s wards within Kingston, Epsom and St Peter’s Hospitals. We would love your school to get involved with raising money for Momentum whether it’s for a term or the entire school year.
Why we need your help
When a family is told that their child has cancer or a life-limiting condition, their world immediately turns upside-down.
Momentum is here to make sure that no family has to cope alone. We’re here for the whole family, for the whole journey, as long as needed.
We also have some fantastic classroom resources to share with you, including age-appropriate films and animations narrated by Momentum children about their experience of cancer or a serious illness. These could be used in PHSE lessons, during a week when you may be running a fundraising activity.

Whatwe do
Mo’s Ideas For Nursery & Primary
A fabulous new challenge for children, with online fundraising tools provided by Momentum.
Children are asked to use £5 pocket money, or borrow from their parents, and invest in products
or materials to set up and run a money-making activity outside school. For example, they could
invest in ingredients to make cakes and hold a sale in their front garden or via parents’ office!
All participating children will receive a wristband and certificate.
Grow £5 For Mo
For older children a chance to win a £50 Bentalls voucher for entering our creative competition.
Entry fee is £3 (collected in school) to decorate an old pair of jeans. Ask your Head of Art to judge all entrants, either through a catwalk in assembly or
photo entries.
