SINGLE STATUS
NOTIFICATION IMMINENT
Thousands of school support staff across LEA schools in
Wolverhampton are due to receive their Single Status noti-fication packs from Monday 26 November 2012.
The information will be delivered to home addresses and will in-
clude individual outcomes of the job evaluation and allocation
process.
Wolverhampton City Council took the decision earlier in the year
that because of the summer break schools would not be in a posi-tion to share information with staff at the same time as the rest of
the NJC (Green Book) employees that work for the City Council
who were informed of their results on 1 October 2012.
Since 1 October UNISON has been offering advice and supporting our
members across the City Council with possible appeals which are allowed
under the Job Evaluation Scheme.
CURRENT SITUATION
In the meantime talks have now resumed between Wolverhampton City
Council and UNISON on the overall Single Status package.
Talks had stalled during September/October and Wolverhampton City
Council were informed by UNISON on 10 October 2012 that their
final proposals were not acceptable, however it is hoped that the new
talks will deliver improvements for UNISON members
