Last week showed us that we live in a land of extremes. Our thoughts go out to the many who have been caught up in the ongoing tragedy of bushfire across NSW. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our Rosebank RFS who consist of members from our local community. They have worked in extreme conditions over the past few weeks to keep our community safe and to keep us current and up to date with local bushfire information. We sincerely appreciate your focus and commitment to keeping our students, staff, families, environment, homes, properties and animals safe. Last week I attended a few days in Sydney completing training in Leading Teaching and Learning and I would like to thank the Rosebank PS team for their efforts, great collaboration and communication with me, our Director of Educational Leadership and the community through such complex circumstances. As the initial threat lessens, it is important to remind ourselves of support services available, as sometimes trauma can be delayed. These support services may be accessing our school counselling service, visiting your local GP, Beyond Blue –1300 22 4636, Lifeline –13 11 14 and other local community services. Please contact us if you would like further support information. P&C Meeting Our next P&C meeting will take place this Thursday 21 November at 2.45pm. All are welcome! Our 2020 Kindergarten students and K/1s jointly constructed a recount of the book ‘The Terrible Plop’. K/1s were responsible for a character and writing a speech bubble. They also decided on how they could summarise the story using dialogue straight from the pages.

Did or Done? “Did” is the past tense of ‘do’.

E.g. I did not know how to do that. Did you see that?

“Done” is the past principle of ‘do’. It cannot occur alone in a sentence and is always accompanied by another verb.

E.g. I have done the dishes. She had done that before.
