LEARNING GARDEN RENDERING

RED IN ARCHITECTURE IS OFTEN USED TO SYMBOLIZE STRUCTURE. THE COLOR RED CREATES A MORE PLAYFUL ENVIRONMENT, AND ALSO SYMBOLIZES DETERMINATION AND LEADERSHIP, TWO WORDS OFTEN TIED TO EDUCATION.

THE CLASSIC BRICK FACADE BRINGS A MORE TRADITIONAL AND PLAYFUL SIDE OF A SCHOOL, AND HELPS TO BALANCE THE MODERN FRAME AND STRUCTURE OF THE BUILDING.

REVISED DESIGN PROPOSALREWORKING OF INTERIOR SPACES AS WELL AS BUILDING FOOTPRINT BASED ON COMMENTS FROM FINAL CRIT.

THIS DESIGN FEATURES A FOOTPRINT WITHOUT ANY ANGLES, AND A BUILDING WITH SEVERAL SPACES LIVING INSIDE OF EACH OTHER. THE EXTERIOR GARDEN HAS BEEN PUSHED BACK INSIDE THE BUILDING, ALLOWING THE LIBRARY TO EXIST IN THE HEART OF THE CIRCULATION AROUND AND INTO THE GARDEN. THE LIBRARY BECAME A MORE OPEN, TRIPLE HEIGHT SPACE WHICH COMPLIMENTS THE LEARNING GARDEN, AND CREATES A BALANCE BETWEEN THE SPACES.
