Scholarships are available for those who demonstrate financial need (see income guidelines below). Need is based on the 2019 Federal Poverty Guidelines. OverviewThese activity-based, week-long day camps run from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. They are for students that will be going into 7th, 8th, or 9th grade in the fall. The topic of the camps is “Astro-Instrumentation”. Campers will learn about the different types of instruments used in astronomical research. As a team, campers will build a reflecting telescope and will even be introduced to the growing field of computer coding. Other activities will include hiking, drawing, playing games, and more.

Lowell Observatory is pleased to offer the 2019 LOCKs (Lowell Observatory Camps for

Kids) for middle school children.An introduction to

Nonmembers: $300 per student
